Modern theater offers many interesting productions. The choice of the audience is quite large. Next, we will talk about the play "Men in Slippers." Reviews of this production should be considered before planning a trip to the theater.
About the author
The play "Men in Slippers" was staged based on the play by contemporary Croatian writer and playwright Miro Gavran. Viewer reviews are varied. This writer's books have been translated into 25 languages.
Performances based on the plays of this playwright are staged all over the world. In his honor, a festival of plays by Miro Gavran was organized in the Slovak city of Trnava. It's called "Gavranfest".
Several years ago, Miro Gavran's performance "My Wife's Husband" directed by Alexander Ogarev was successfully staged on Russian stages. And now in Moscow there is a new entreprise - "Men in Slippers".
Director
Staging was carried out by the famous Moscow director Valery Sarkisov. He staged his first graduation performance at the Moscow Art Theater, and later collaborated with the Theater. Moscow City Council, Theatre. Yermolova andother well-known theater groups in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Carried out a number of productions on the stages of the provincial theaters of Russia.
B. Sarkisov is a director who strives to reveal his acting personality as much as possible. In each of his works, he encourages artists to reveal their best qualities, to search for new internal reserves and opportunities, makes them do what they have not done before. The play "Men in Slippers" was no exception. The actors play their roles with full dedication.
What is the play about
The play "Men in Slippers", according to reviews, is a very cheerful, dynamic and at the same time subtle comedy about eternal values - about love, fidelity, happiness and the ability to appreciate and protect them in a difficult modern world.
It would seem that the main theme is banal and hackneyed. But the trick is that love is a many-sided and many-sided thing. And the simple formula "Everything happens in life" makes it possible to talk about the same thing in completely different words, each time being surprised by the variety of forms and plots.
What could be simpler than a love triangle? This story has been used by authors for thousands of years. But each time it manages to bring something new and original into it, depending on the life experience and the degree of optimism of the author. And if the triangle turns into a square…
Storyline
So, in order. Anna, the main character of the play, is a moderately grasping woman, more than adequately, scandalous, very sexy, eccentric and extravagant. Her fate is rather difficult - her husband Blagomir is serving a term in prison. A desperate woman meets another man, Tikhomir, on her way and marries him.
And suddenly it turns out that the verdict of the former spouse is declared invalid, and in the near future Blagomir intends to return to his family. Anna is in a panic. The situation is hopeless: both spouses have the right to housing, so there are no legal grounds to refuse the former residence. And the fun life of the three begins: Anna and her two husbands huddle under the same roof.
What the woman did not expect was the fact that over time men will be bound by strong friendship, based either on fraternal solidarity, or on caustic self-irony. Anna does not like this state of affairs, but it turns out that these are still only flowers.
One fine day, Blagomir, as the owner of an apartment, brings a woman named Maria to the house. Imagine Tikhomir's surprise when he recognizes in her his former love, who has a daughter from him. Anna's former feelings for her ex-husband and Tikhomir for her ex-lover flare up with renewed vigor.
Living together in the same living space becomes, to put it mildly, very, very difficult, but here's the problem: the men can't decide which one of them should pick up the slippers and leave the premises. And again, as usual, women have to take matters into their own hands. So, the ending of the performance will certainly not disappoint the viewer.
Cast
Reviews about the play "Men in Slippers", actors and roles are left by the audience in large numbers. They celebrate the excellent play of the artists. M. Poroshina, A. Ilyin (Tikhomir), A. Feklistov (Blagomir) took part in the play. The highlight of the performance is that both female roles are played by the same actress, constantly changing clothes offstage and changing wigs.
M. Poroshina perfectly copes with this task. Over time, the actors in the play "Men in Slippers" have changed a bit. J. Epple was invited to the female roles, and S. Kolesnikov plays the role of Blagomir from time to time.
However, not everyone liked the highlight of the performance. There are reviews in which viewers demand that different actresses perform female roles. They argue this with the desire to see the meeting of both heroines on stage. Many are waiting for how two women who finally met will communicate with each other. And they are disappointed when they realize that this meeting will not take place.
However, since this is the author's idea and does not depend on the director's desire, such claims are clearly in the wrong place. The storyline of the performance is built by the author in such a way that the heroines do not meet on stage. There is no dialogue between them in the play. And it should be taken for granted.
Reviews
Regardless of the cast, the performance received invariably enthusiastic responses from the audience. Subtle, ironic and at the same time heartfelt play of artists always evokes a vivid emotional response fromauditorium. Light and funny performance is actually very deep and incredibly touching. In the play, the actors, masterfully playing their roles, told an incredibly funny and heartfelt story about love and fidelity, about friendship and loneliness, about how important it is to make the right choice in life.
"Men in Slippers" is a story about charming henpecked men, each of whom experienced the tragedy of loneliness in his own way. From one suddenly turned away all whom he considered his close people. Another connected his life with a woman whom, in fact, he did not love.
But, thanks to the subtle irony and the magnificent skill of the actors, this tragedy is felt by the viewer surprisingly light. The author's wonderful sense of humor makes the production very funny, dynamic and surprisingly light. The duration of the play "Men in Slippers" is 130 minutes. with intermission. At the same time, the production looks in one breath. It evokes a lot of positive emotions and receives many positive reviews.
After considering the plot, the acting in the play "Men in Slippers", the audience's reviews about it, you can make the right decision about purchasing tickets for this production.
