Biography

Born July 24, 1976 in Glasgow, Scotland's largest city. Her father Alistair worked in the construction industry and tried himself as a screenwriter. Rosa's mother was a nurse and later a college teacher. Laura has two brothers and a sister. The father was the girl's best friend. And it was from her father that she learned the desire and love for the stage. Alistair supported his daughter in everything and also helped to decide on a profession. He wrote a play in which Laura got the lead role.

After leaving school, Laura Fraser entered the Royal Academy of Music and Drama in Scotland. But she only studied there for one year. The teachers did not like the fact that young Laura began acting in films. Then Fraser left for London.

Career

The debut of the actress was the short film "A Great Day for the Bad Boys", released in 1995. There, Laura Fraser played Little Red Riding Hood. The actress received her first serious role only a year later, starring in the TV series "The Door". At the same time, she appeared in the drama film "Little Faces", later named the best British film of 1996.

In 2002, she met Irish and American actor and businessman Carl Geary on the set of the film "The Coney Island Kid", whom Laura Fraser married the same year. The personal life of the star was developing in the best way. Carl already had a daughter at that time. Together, a year after the wedding, they left for New York, and a year later for Ireland. In 2005, the family moved to Laura's homeland - Glasgow. There, in 2006, the couple had a daughter, Leela Geary.

Now Fraser lives with his family in New York, near Brooklyn.
