Although some fans consider the first version of the pilot to be the best: there is an opinion that then the series would become more intellectual, although less spectacular.

But what happened happened. And it was precisely because of the reshoots that the creators of the project had to reduce the number of episodes in the season to three, and the episodes themselves, after being finalized, turned into full-fledged feature films.

Actors

Series fans don't just want to know if there will be a Sherlock season 5. They want confirmation that there will be no major cast changes. After all, it is impossible to imagine anyone else in the lead roles, except for Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch.

There's a lot to take away from this project - viewers will miss the devoted Molly Hooper and the eccentric Mrs. Hudson, but will survive their absence. They almost forgave the creators of the death of Mary Watson. And even Mycroft Holmes, who, by the way, is played by one of the creators of the series, Mark Gatiss, (the second “dad” of the project is Steven Moffat) is not so important for the plot.
