The celebration is overshadowed by the disappearance of her mother (M. Roy), who is kidnapped by enemies. Together withfriend Simon (A. Rosende) and a more experienced hunter Jace (D. Sherwood), the girl goes to the rescue of her mother and finds herself in a parallel reality.

The television version turned out to be light-weighted, the action takes off right off the bat, occasionally slowing down while the viewer gets to know the new character, but not particularly distracted by philosophical reflections on the semantic background of everything that happens. The scriptwriters did not explain the essence of the existence of the ancient clan, justifying themselves by the need to urgently solve the pressing problems of the main characters. Although it should be so in the format declared by the creators, the youth audience prefers not to think very much, but to succumb to feelings and passions, albeit fictional ones.

To the delight of the fans

The climactic episodes of the second season no longer raised much question about whether there would be a Shadowhunters season 3. Nevertheless, the creators remained silent from August to September 2017. Finally, in the second month of fall 2017, New York Comic Con delighted an army of millions of fans with two great news. Firstly, the official trailer was shown, after which the last doubts about whether there would be a season 3 of "Shadowhunters" disappeared, and secondly, it was announced that the number of episodes, according to the requests of viewers, was increased by 10, that is, they the total will reach 20.
