Unfortunately (or fortunately) - it's up to anyone to their liking, "pure" literary genres are gradually becoming a thing of the past. Most likely, this is due to the fact that our generation is used to getting everything at once, so every time it is necessary to increase the intensity of passions more and more. It's no longer enough for us to just travel to the center of the galaxy with another brave starship crew, or empathize with two lovers who can't seem to be reunited. Today, completely different things can be combined in one work: passionate love, fights and murders, lyrics and philosophical reflections, parallel worlds and unknown planets. And among all this book abundance, love-fiction novels have taken their strong place.
Note that the authors do it differently - there are good and quite readable texts, and after some, the desire to pick up books disappears altogether. Love-fiction novels from Olga Myakhar, for example, belong to the latter. True, they are presented more like humorous fiction, but there is a love linein almost every book, so you can make a small assumption. The plots themselves raise much more questions. Here is one of them: the main character (a mutant!) becomes part of a fun crew of a spaceship, manages to get into six unpleasant situations, be on the verge of death a couple of times, save her friends three or four times, meet the love of her life… And all this over the course of several pages of printed text. And after a couple of pages, she also meets the second love of her life, after which the further development of the plot is built around the classic love triangle. So love-fiction novels from this author can only be recommended to unpretentious readers. True, it should be noted that one book (any!) by Olga Myakhar is perceived rather positively: as a light entertaining reading book for a four. With an overdose, there is a clear feeling of deja vu - the same love triangle, the same huge number of adventures per unit of printed text.
And love-fiction novels from Elena Zvezdnaya are perceived in a completely different way. It would seem that the same genre, but the impression is completely different. At the same time, oddly enough, the books of this author are also rated at an average of four. But as they say, the evaluation is different - there are also love triangles here, but they do not look so caricatured and simulated, and the storyline, although replete with poignant moments, still falls to the lot of the main character and ordinary everyday life, and moments of reflection. And the main character herselflooks like a narcissistic hysterical person, whom it is not clear for what qualities all males fell in love.
