Creativity: themes and paintings
Masterwas and remains in love with the elements of the landscape, which he quite sensitively and subtly understands. Due to the fact that the artist constantly traveled in his youth and continues to do so until now, his geography in the paintings has a wide territorial range. Andrei Zakharov managed to visit the lands of the White Sea, Karelia, the Republic of Kholmogoria and Komi, where some of his best landscapes were painted.
The artist builds a color balance in subtle coloristic details, but at the same time, in terms of composition, he thinks in rather large-scale volumes, due to which his works acquire the features of monumentalism and epicism.
The artist's work belongs to the outstanding and bright peaks of landscape painting of the XXI century.
An important and respectable fact: Andrei Zakharov paints all his paintings only from life, perhaps because his works are able to convey the whole diversity of Russian nature and its incredible images that cannot be described in words.
The artist seems to be able to control time, stopping it for one moment and allowing the audience to enjoy a wonderful and unique moment.
Especially dear to his heart are the places of the Upper Volga, which entered his canvases, poetically and gently filled with the rays of the sun.
"Pomor etudes", "Fishing Soyms" were drawn on trips to the shores of the White Sea, to the places of the Republic of Karelia and the cities of Novgorod and Volkhov.
In the works depicting fishing boats on the Ilmensky and Onega lakes, the author not onlyshows beautiful places, but also reveals the life of fishermen's villages.
In epic landscape paintings, such as "After the Thunderstorm", the author introduces viewers to the historical monuments and architecture of the homeland.
The detailed naturalistic style of drawing is alien to the artist, he gives in to his will and desire, creating general plastic and captivating images.
