The artist Georgy Dmitriev is a modern painter from Russia, who, according to many, has no equal in the XX-XXI centuries. He is one of those masters of the seascape, who has the rightful honor to be on a par with the personality of Aivazovsky and his skill.
Short biography: creativity and life
The birthplace of Georgy Rualdovich Dmitriev is the city of Murom, where he was born in 1957. However, already in 1958 his family moved with him to the capital of Russia - Moscow.
In 1983, the artist Georgy Dmitriev graduated from the Moscow State Art Institute. IN AND. Surikov and at the same time begins to participate in many exhibitions of various levels. In 1987 he joined the Moscow branch of the Russian Union of Artists.
Since 1993, his work began to exhibit abroad. The first place of the foreign exhibition was the city of Skive in Denmark.
From 1997 to 1999 Georgi participates in an auction of Russian art held in the Turkish city of Ankara.
In 1998, three exhibitions were held at the Central Art House:
- "Harmony of contrasts" - Moscow gallery;
- exhibition of a personal format in the Moscow art salon of Petrovka;
- Central House of Moscow Artists - group exhibition.
The biography of the artist Georgy Dmitriev continues in 1999, when an exhibition of a personal format is organized in the galleries of the German cities of Hannover and Dresden. Then there is a show of Russian art in the capital of Portugal - Lisbon.

Creativity
Georgy Rualdovich Dmitriev's paintings can be seen in art collections in more than 20 countries. Also, the author's canvases represent Russia in the reception hall for government delegations in the capital of South Korea - Seoul.
Currently, marine painter Georgy Dmitriev is one of the most respected persons among Russian painters who prefer the theme of the sea in fine art.
Theme: water element
The image of the element of water and its power in the artist's paintings cannot be ignored. It is unlikely that there will be at least one person who would not notice and appreciate Dmitriev's talent.
Its sea is pierced by beams of sunlight, represented by completely differentshades of colors. The most powerful energy of the waves, the immeasurable distance of the blue and the power of nature beyond the control of man - all this is able to express the artist Georgy Dmitriev thanks to his talent and the pictorial direction suitable for him - marineism.
Countries where Dmitriev's works are kept are united by one common similarity - proximity to the sea element. Perhaps that is why George's work is so revered and appreciated in the above states.
It is interesting that the artist Georgy Dmitriev did not immediately come to his favorite genre. The work, written in 1987, will be a great surprise for fans who are interested in his work, since it will not have the usual beautiful image of the sea. On the canvas you will see a still life in which the author draws bottles in the form of cubism.
An interesting fact: this situation is very similar to the creative biography of the master Aron Bukh, who devoted most of his life to the style of realism and only in the last decades decided to create a cycle of works in the direction of expressionism.
Mountains
The theme of mountain relief is no exception for paintings by artist Georgy Dmitriev. Incredibly realistic and atmospheric, a talented landscape painter draws every detail of the peaks. One gets the feeling that his workplace at that time was the very mountain from which such an unforgettable paradise view stretched.
Watching enough compositions,it is impossible not to pay attention to the angle from which the artist shows us the beauty and power of nature.
The bird's-eye view allows each viewer to be transported to the corner of the Earth, depicted with the help of the artist's magic brushes, and feel like a part of it.
Noteworthy
Special attention deserves the way the artist Georgy Dmitriev shows the sky. Although it is not a separate theme of the landscape in his work, peering into it, you understand that this is like another incredible, deep and mysterious world that is beyond our control.
A bright shining light in the distance - the sun - seems to be always watching us, reminding us that we are just a small part of a huge universe, whose borders through mountains, seas and horizons we will never reach.
Beyond the scenery
It is worth noting that the paintings of marine painter Georgy Dmitriev are saturated not only with marine themes. Among them are works in the style of still life. Among his works there are really many works in which the composition is concisely thought out and, accordingly, harmoniously built. Dmitriev, as a worthy set designer and director, selects the background to match the game textures and shades of objects.
The works "Two jugs", "Toys of the desert" and "Still life with Buddha" combine, in addition to color contrast, also textural, thus emphasizing everythingvariety of items.
On the example of the first picture, you can see and make sure that two jugs made of different metals, which have taken an unequal distorted shape, correctly refracted light on a dark background and also a bright red, conspicuous base make the still life atmospherically deep and purely individual style artist.
Mise-en-scenes with similar "actors" (old things, birds, butterflies, fresh flowers, stems, fruits) allow you to plunge into the homely everyday atmosphere of Georgy Dmitriev himself.
Where to find it?
