The performer was born in the city of Rubtsovsk, Altai Territory, in the family of a factory worker and a teacher. Since childhood, Vladimir had to earn extra money to help his parents raise his younger sister. The guy worked as a janitor, a loader, a stoker. Later, Trofimov managed to get a job as a watchman in a grocery store, where instead of a salary he received stew and sugar. At the age of 18, he joined the army, where he served a year in the reconnaissance troops.

After serving in the armed forces, Vladimir begins to actively write author's songs and record them on a tape recorder. The army not only physically strengthened the future performer, but also gave time to learn to play the guitar. At first, the songs of Vladimir Trofimov did not arouse much interest in the listener due to the poor quality of the recording, but the situationchanged in his favor with the release of his debut album, recorded in a professional studio. The album allowed Vladimir to enter the golden elite of Russian chanson and continue his creative activity.
Trofimov is quickly becoming known in wide circles thanks to the lyricism and sincerity of his songs, high-quality musical arrangements and a responsible approach to creative activity, during which he has not canceled a single concert.
