"And so, when we got to know each other in this way, I outlined my plan," his hero Mikhail Ivanovich reported to his movie boss, a police colonel.
It was thanks to the role of an honest and decent policeman that the actor of Soviet cinema Stanislav Chekan woke up famous.
Childhood
On the second day of June 1922 in Rostov-on-Don, the first-born son Stasik was born to the Chekan couple. Mom, Matilda Ivanovna, was German, and dad, Yulian Yegorovich, was Polish.
While the Civil War lasted, his parents fought under the command of Budyonny himself. Semyon Mikhailovich used to carry little Stanislav in his arms.
Ten years later, another boy was born in the family - Volodya. Mom loved them very much and constantly worried that the too energetic Stasik would not get into a bad company.
Life in a labor colony
When Stanislav Chekan was a 15-year-old teenager, his dad was arrested as an enemy of the people. It was believed that he, being a cook, allegedly had a plan to poison the Soviet soldiers. After a very short periodtime, my mother was also arrested. Their nationalities turned out to be quite "suitable" for being declared enemies of the people.
The younger Volodya, who at that time was already five years old, was taken to an orphanage, and Stanislav Chekan went to a labor colony. Many years passed after that, and as an adult, the famous actor, barely holding back tears, recalled how he sat hungry and watched the demonstration, where the guys carried posters thanking Stalin for their happy childhood.
This is where the future actor begins his journey into art. The case brought him together with a teacher (former actress) working in the colony. It was she who saw in Stasik the talent of an artist and invited him to come to the drama club. The young man began to participate in amateur performances with pleasure. But having received a passport in his hands, Chekan Stanislav Yulianovich runs away from the colony and gets a job as a tinsmith.
Parent resort
The boys' mother was released from prison after two years. First, she sought out the eldest son, a little later, the youngest. But Budyonny himself participated in the rescue from the dungeons of the pope. The family is finally reunited.
Matilda Ivanovna and Yulian Yegorovich lived many happy years after their imprisonment. And the years of being behind bars were always remembered with a single phrase about how they were once at the resort …
Brothers Styopa and Slava
The future actor Stanislav Chekan entered the theater school in his hometown. itwas the course of Yuri Zavadsky. During the entrance exams, Stasik met a guy who was worried all the time and constantly pulled his nose. This is how Stanislav Chekan and Sergey Bondarchuk became friends, who later called themselves brother Slava (Stas Chekan) and brother Styopa (Sergey Bondarchuk). Each of them was sure that he would not enter, but out of two hundred people only they passed. Friends were always together, and to have a bite to eat after lectures, they ran to Stas Chekan's dad in a restaurant where he worked as a cook.
Get up, the country is huge
So successfully started study at the theater university was interrupted by the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. Like millions of Soviet children, Chekan Stanislav Yulianovich leaves to defend his homeland as an ordinary soldier. In the battle near Novorossiysk, he was wounded, and after treatment he began working in the front theater. There he met his common-law wife, artist Tina Mazenko-Belinskaya.
When the war ended with the complete and unconditional victory of the country of the Soviets, Stanislav Chekan, whose films will later be watched with adoration and admiration, gets a job in the troupe of the Odessa Theater of the Soviet Army. In 1948, he moved to the Central Academy of the SA, where he worked for eight years.
More and more place in the life of Chekan takes cinema. Stanislav Yulianovich leaves the theater, but does not forget about him. Until 1993, the artist worked at the Film Actor's Studio Theatre.
And yet the cinema, which eventually brought him popularity, success, recognition, was devoted to a lota lot of time. The first small roles in the films "Blue Roads" and "Son of the Regiment" did not make the actor famous instantly. Everything changed the picture "Taras Shevchenko", filmed in 1951. Chekan had a tiny role in this film, but his unique talent did not allow him to forget this character. The coachman, famously performing forbidden songs, was simply magnificent in the performance of the actor.
The next year he went to shoot the picture "Outpost in the mountains", which was filmed in Central Asia.
"Cinema, cinema, cinema. We are crazy about you…”
The very first appearance on the screen of a young aspiring actor took place in 1946. It was a simple episodic role - an ordinary in the film "Son of the Regiment". And seven years later, Stanislav Chekan, whose films have been watched by several generations of viewers, embodied the border guard Marchenko on the screen. It was his first serious major role.
The end of the fifties was marked by the beginning of Stanislav Yulianovich's wide path in cinema.
Outwardly, he was a very colorful and textured man, had a great sense of humor and indescribable charm. On the screen, as a rule, he "gave birth" to the images of boatswains and drivers, foremen and policemen. His most famous film works are Sabodazh in the detective story "Two tickets for a daytime session", Tikhon Shcherbaty in "War and Peace", Anton Krylenko in the film "The Next Flight". It is impossible not to recall two more of his best and favorite roles among millions of viewers: the coven worker Ivan Petrovich Kuskov in the film “And Again Aniskin” about a village detective and the unforgettable police major Mikhail Ivanovich in the comedy “The Diamond Arm”. Working on the same platform with venerable actors and realizing that his role is not the main one, but the second one, he nevertheless created his character so alive and real that the vast majority of viewers, having heard his name and surname, immediately remember exactly “Michal Ivanych.”
Back in the sixties, Chekan married Nonna Yulyanovich, who was almost twenty years younger than him. The son Sergey was born in the family. He later became an actor and also dubbed films. Unfortunately, he died in 2005.
In the last years of his life, Stanislav Chekan was very sick. So the old wound that the actor received at the front made itself felt. Now he did not work in the troupe of the theater, almost did not act in film. In 1994, he felt very bad, Chekan even admitted to his wife that he had no need to be in this world, because after leaving the profession he no longer wanted to live.
When Chekan needed hospitalization, it turned out that he had acute leukemia. Doctors predicted his life expectancy at about three weeks. Nonna Yulyanovich begged the Aesculapius not to raise this issue in conversations with her husband.
The actor left this world on August 11, 1994 and was buried at the Vagankovsky cemetery.
This was the actor Stanislav Chekan. The biography of this wonderful person, unfortunately, ended, but the memory of him lives in the hearts of his fans to this day.
