In 1938, the creative duo of directors Panteleimon Sazonov, known for the cartoon "Quartet" of 1935, and Vlad Bochkareva ("Cinema Crocodiles") created a real masterpiece of animation called "The Tale of Emelya". Unfortunately, the actors involved in the voice acting of the cartoon are not listed in the credits. The project has become public domain.
The plot of the Russian folk tale was practically not changed. The authors made adjustments only to the final events. Sazonov and Bochkarev have a heromeets the royal "cortege", overtakes him, which makes the autocrat angry.
Here Emelya lies on the stove and does not pretend to be the heart of the princess at all. With the help of a spell, he only repels the royal guard from his hut.

In the same year, the fairy tale about Emelya on the stove is filmed by the greatest Soviet fairy tale director Alexander Rou. He shoots a full-length black-and-white feature film "At the command of the pike." The film was based on the work of the same name by the playwright E. Tarakhovskaya and was created at the Soyuzdetfilm film studio. The plot of the picture to some extent combined the motifs of three Russian fairy tales: “By the Pike”, “Princess Nesmeyana”, “Dancing Accordion”.
In the center of the story - Emelya, oven, pike, King Peas and his spoiled daughter Nesmeyana. Tired of his daughter's whims, the sovereign promises to marry her off to someone who can make her laugh. Emelya manages to do this, but the tsar orders the peasant to be driven out of the palace. The princess in love runs away with him.

The classic plot is again subjected to the author's interpretation. An overseas prince rides in a carriage to woo a Russian princess. At this time, Emelya goes on the stove for firewood. Their paths cross. After a collision of these vehicles, the carriage with the entire crew and passengers overturns. Emelya by chancefinds a portrait of Princess Mary that fell out of the carriage, and wishes the girl to love him. Naturally, the prince remains out of work, and the annoyed king locks his daughter in the tower. At this time, the general brings Emelya to the palace. And Marya chooses a simple man, not an overseas prince. The outcast admirer declares war, but Emelya, with the help of a spell, breaks the enemy army. Marya, leaving the palace, leaves with the hero, they live happily ever after.

In the center of the story is the cowardly Tsar Gorokh and his daughter Nesmeyana, who toiled from boredom in her room. The king promises to give her as a wife to the one who makes the capricious girl laugh. Emelya arrives on the stove. The princess laughs, and the lord drives the peasant away. But Nesmeyana escapes with her lover.
1984 cartoon project
About heroes familiar to everyone since childhood, director V. Fomin shot another cartoon based on the script by A. Timofeevsky. In addition to the main characters, a starling and a magic ring presented to the young man by a pike are introduced into the story. The plot begins with an acquaintance with the lazy Emelya, who accidentally meets Princess Mary, who has lost her way in the forest, hiding from the nannies. Young people fall in love with each other. Emele no longer lies on the stove, and he goes to the palace on it. The young man, by order of the king, is put into a barrel and thrown into the sea. The inconsolable princess mourns her lover, but then the starling brings her a magic ring. Marya wants to return Emelya, and together they escape from the palace on the stove.
