In 2003, Sergei became the chief director at the Magnitogorsk Theatre. Here he worked for 4 years and staged several good performances. At the same time, he tries himself in pedagogy, teaches a course in acting at the local conservatory.
In 2009, Puskepalis was invited to Yaroslavl, where he served as the chief director in the drama theater for 3 years.
