Satisfaction lies in the fact that two men have to drink different alcoholic drinks all night long, while talking on pre-prepared topics. Whoever stops first loses. If the initiator of the dispute gets drunk, then the second opponent receives a suitcase of money and the hero's wife in addition. If the opposite happens, then a colleague who offended the dignity of an entrepreneur leaves the city forever, without money.
The interest of the picture is not the dispute itself, but intellectual conversations. Created on simple themes, they reveal the essence of two completely different people. Friends, work, children, ice cream - these are few of the things that the characters talk about. As intoxication sets in, thoughts and statements become more frank, opinions more daring, assumptions too bold. Two people who have been working so closely in the same business for so long, it turns out that they know absolutely nothing about each other's life.
At the same time, minor characters pass through the storyline. The chef and three waiters are forced to sit all night until the argument is over. Their unpretentious lives attract with simplicity and sincere humor.
The picture turned out to be very subtle and ironic. Everyone can draw an analogy with their own thoughts and feelings. This is one of those films that you want to listen to.
The arrangement for the picture is very clearly chosen: classical music by Tchaikovsky and Schumann, in harmony with modern bands "Bigudi" and "Mumiy Troll".
Criticism and reviews
Very mixed reviews caused the film "Satisfaction" in the press. Screenplay and storylinediscussed on the federal channel in the program "Closed Screening" with Alexander Gordon. Of course, critics attacked the amount and propaganda of alcohol in the film, the scarcity of images. The film was compared with another performance by Grishkovets. However, all this did not prevent the film from receiving the Audience Choice Award and recognition at the Moscow Premiere Film Festival.
Don't be confused: there is another film with the same name "Satisfaction" (film 2005) - Grishkovets has nothing to do with it.
