Yuri was born in the Khabarovsk Territory in Magadan on August 18, 1948. Almost all of his relatives connected their lives with cinema and television, so Yuri decided to continue their career. He was forced to spend about 20 years in various camps, and about 8 years in his native city in the mines. He was sent to the camps on the report of one of Alexander's colleagues in the theater.
