Student Sorata Kanda, who lived and slept surrounded by forty cats, was also determined by the will of fate to live permanently in "Sakura". The spirit of freedom hovers in the house, it is easy to breathe there. The only inconvenience is that the building is going to be demolished and even razed to the ground. That's why everythingthe inhabitants of the house are forced to ensure that this does not happen. Almost daily, the students who live there line up in a human chain right from the morning to prevent the bulldozers. Then, after another assurance from the director that everything will be fine, they disperse to the audience.

When the main character of the series, the gifted artist Mashiro Sina, arrived at the university from England, she was placed in "Sakura" only because the girl, absent-mindedly, could squeeze toothpaste from a tube onto her boots to clean them, and artistic brushes used instead of curlers in the morning. At first, the residents were horrified by Mashiro's inability to cope with everyday issues on their own, and then decided to put the care of the artist on Sorata's shoulders, motivating their decision by the fact that since Sorata easily copes with twenty cats, it means that Mashiro Shina will not be a burden for him. In addition, she will be able to draw portraits of cats in turn.

One of the most notable characters is Nanami Aoyama, a close friend and classmate of Sorata. In love with him, and at the same time with all his cats. Jin Mitaka

Studies in the third year, lives in room number 103. As it has already become known, he has been in love with the incomparable Misaki since childhood, considers himself unworthy of her attention. The aspiring writer puts all his talent into writing scripts for Misaki's anime. For no reason, he began dating several girls at once, including Misaki's sister, which gave a special piquancy to his relationship with Kamiigusa herself. After some time, he decides to break off all relations with all the girls and get serious about the texts for the anime Misaki.

After graduating from school, he leaves for Osaka to continue his studies. Before leaving, not hoping for anything, Misaki brings the completed application form to the registry office for marriage registration. He was surprised that the girl hadn't torn up the statement and thrown it in his face. Instead, she registered the marriage on the same day, without even calling Jin to the registry office. So another strange but happy couple was born.

Before coming to Sakuraso, he was engaged in the development of computer games, but he was so ahead of his colleagues that it became uninteresting to work with them. Thus, in the end, one remained.

Girlfriend

Rita Ainsworth is a close friend of Mashiro, an artist. The girls lived together in England. For some time now, she began to bow to her friend's talent and, against this background, she even quit drawing. Then Mashiro decided to distract from painting in order to reduce its popularity. Suggested to a friend to switch to manga and computer skills, hoping that Mashiro would fail both.

Invites her friend to return to England. Once, having arrived in Sakuraso, he is convinced of the stunning successes of Mashiro both in manga and in computer science. She barely survived her disappointment and returned to London. In love with Akasaka Ryunosuke.
