The director of "Tokyo Ghoul" was the Japanese Shuhei Morita. He was born in Yamatokada in 1978. Known as a producer and screenwriter of various anime films.

In 2014, the project was nominated for an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film. It was the picture "Property", which told about a girl: following a white rabbit, she finds herself in various magical worlds. True, the project did not get the coveted statuette. Ridze dies on the spot, and doctors save Kaneki. In the fight for his life, doctors transplant the girl's internal organs into him, not finding out who she really is.

After the operation, the young man feels that something is happening to him, he is changing. Ordinary food becomes disgusting to him, while he is constantly hungry. Finally at the end of episode 1Season 1 of "Tokyo Ghoul" the main character realizes that he himself has partially turned into a monster.

Kaneki will have to adapt to life in a new guise. In this he is helped by the owner of the Anteiku cafe, Yoshimura. The place gathers ghouls from the surrounding area. And he supplies them with food if they are unable to hunt on their own.

Together with Kaneki, Nishiki Nishio, who is also a ghoul, studies at the university, which Ken did not even suspect before. In addition, it turns out that Nishiki opened the hunt for his best friend Hide. He will have to confront the werewolf in order to save the life of a comrade.

In "White Dove", Kaneki joins "Anteiku". Yoshimura teaches him various tricks that will be useful in a new life, teaches him to adapt to the human world. Tohka details how ghoul society works. When another ghoul, Shu Tsukiyama, shows up at the cafe, he begins to take a suspicious interest in the young man.

In the next episode, Kaneki decides to get close to Tsukiyama, even though Toki warns the protagonist against it. At the same time, he is constantly tormented by the feeling that something threatens him, that someone is preparing a trap for him. It turns out that all these fears were not in vain.

In the episode "Scar", Kaneki miraculously makes it out alive from a gourmet ghoul dinner. But Tsukiyama is still obsessed with eating him. Therefore, he prepares another trap for the main character: he kidnaps Nishio's girlfriend, who is an ordinary person. Nishiki himself was injured and is now unable to fight. Kanekiand Tohka realize that the two of them will have to face Tsukiyama together.

In the battle against Buzzard and Toki, Tsukiyama is defeated. In addition, at the last moment, Nishiki, who came to his senses, comes to their aid. The events of recent days have drawn additional police attention to the 20th district of Tokyo, which is inhabited by ghouls. The best investigators of the city Kotaro Amon and Kureo Mado arrive here. They need to find out what's really going on here. The ghouls are in grave danger.

In the episode "Capture", Mado kills Ryoko during a fight. Tohka wants to take revenge on him, for this he tracks down Kotaro, attacking the investigator and his employees. She manages to kill one person, but then Mado appears, who inflicts a slight wound on the ghoul girl. Toka is forced to hide. Kaneki tells her that he also wants to fight against the investigators. He is one of the werewolves who kidnapped him. Just at this moment, the police begin to storm their lair. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Kaneki's friends try to free him.

The final episode of the first season is titled "The Ghoul". In it, Jason tortures Kaneki. He begins to have visions: Ridze appears to him, offering to accept the essence of a ghoul, abandoning the remnants of humanity that are still preserved in him. Kaneki's hair turns gray, after which he gains new strength and enters into a fight with Jason. The protagonist wins this confrontation. In the season finale, Kaneki eats Jason's corpse.

Second season

It is well known that initially the creators did not know how many seasons of "Tokyo Ghoul" will be released on the screens. The first episodes proved so popular that the second season aired on January 9, 2015. It ended airing on March 27.

However, fate itself surprises him when he gets a job as a waiter in the Anteiku cafe. It is a place that supplies human flesh to ghouls who are unable to hunt on their own.

He adopts several of Rize's characteristics - the power of regeneration, the left eye of a ghoul, and the inability to digest human food. Until he meets the rest of the ghouls in the cafe, he considers them cruel and inhuman creatures. Realizing that he became only half a ghoul, but at the same time ceased to be a man, he suspects that he will no longer find a place for himself in this world.

The main character of "Tokyo Ghoul" is a very educated young man. Helikes to read, in most cases behaves quietly, modestly and reservedly. He is ready to trust strangers, initially treats people well, which often puts him in a difficult and even dangerous position. He seems to him a good-natured and reliable person, moreover, a self-sufficient partner, on whom he can rely at any moment, he shows a sincere interest in his work, and, in fact, in everything he does. Haise demonstrates loy alty and devotion, takes care of the Quinxes, respects them, promising to protect them if necessary.

Like Kaneki, Haise Sasaki loves to read books in his free time, strives to achieve maximum heights in everything, works very hard, while managing to remain polite and friendly. Prefers to work in a group rather than alone.

When Mado and Haise come to the restaurant, the restaurant shows him his habit of "playingwords". Despite Kaneki having taken on the form of a ghoul earlier, Haise finds himself unable to handle it. He is disgusted by the second side of his essence, although he makes attempts to accept himself for who he is.

At the same time, during the battle, Haise is able to think very quickly, besides, he has excellent methods of deduction. Sasaki wants to get to know himself from the inside in order to regain previously lost memories. However, he fears that as a result he will lose his current friends and memories of them already.

During the final battle that takes place in Tsukiyama's headquarters, the protagonist manages to regain his memory and lost identity. He finally remembers everything that happened to him. After the battle with Suzuya, it turns into a huge caterpillar, which then separates, and all other heroes fight with it almost until the end of the season.

Toka Kirishima

Toka is the main female character of this series. She is a ghoul girl who is 16 years old. In the list of characters in "Tokyo Ghoul" she is definitely mentioned, as she plays a peculiar role in the process of initialization of the protagonist, helping him to realize who he really is.

Part-time at her age she worksin the Anteiku cafe, and then goes to school. Despite the fact that he is a werewolf, he organically merges into the human community. For herself, she decided that she would keep the fact that she was a ghoul a secret until the last opportunity.

At the same time, Tohka is a very vindictive girl, whose actions can often seem simply reckless to others. She tends to commit violence regularly. At first, Tohka hated Kaneki, believing that he would never be able to understand and truly realize what it was like to be a real ghoul. But then he becomes his faithful comrade and partner, helping to develop fighting qualities.

After being rescued from the 11th district, Kaneki begins to show sincere romantic feelings for him. She takes on the role of Hinami's guardian when her parents are killed by investigators who seek to exterminate ghouls, believing them to be bloodthirsty and merciless creatures. It is noteworthy that Toki has ornithophobia, that is, the fear of birds.

Kureo Mado

Another important character of this series is the representative of the people Kureo Mado. He is a First Class Investigator who, along with his partner Kotaro, hunts ghouls in an effort to exterminate them. This is a ruthless warrior who has been in many battles and battles. Even strong ghouls are not always able to cope with him, he is so powerful.
