The plot is simple, but understandable and close to every person. It's about honesty. The wolf and the fox find out that the grandparents have a golden egg. The fox offers to steal it, and then hatch the hen, which, in turn, will lay golden eggs. As usual, the cunning fox deceived the wolf, and he had to commit the theft alone. The chick hatched from the egg and became a rooster instead of a hen. The fox offers to eat him, but the wolf loves the baby. An interesting fact is that Orlov, although he was the bearer of a native Russian surname, was of a different nationality. His last book, published in 1994, was called Jewish Happiness. In it, the author collected his comic poems and miniatures. It's not hard to guess what topic they cover.

They say that during his lifetime he was often denied the publication of satirical poems because of his nationality. But what he has accomplished in his lifetime is impressive. Vladimir Natanovich was twice a laureate of the Golden Ostap award, received the Lesya Ukrainka and Vladimir Korolenko awards and the State Prize of the Republic of Crimea. The Crimean Republican Library is named after him.

He died in Simferopol in 1999.
