Biography
Vladimir Zakharov was born on the territory of the current Nizhny Novgorod region, then it was called Gorky. I started singing already in kindergarten. At school he participated in various competitions and concerts. Inspired by the work of the groups "Resurrection" and "Time Machine", he organized the first group with his comrades in the 9th grade. He attended a music school, but left it because of a conflict with his teacher. Became a student of the Pavlovsk Art College. Graduated as an engraver. Vladimir Zakharov achieved his first success as a performer and musician in 1986 at the Gorky Rock Festival. There, the newly formed team of "Rock Islands" was awarded the title of laureate. Since 2000, he has predominantly lived in Moscow. The musician and his family first rented an apartment in the northwestern part of the capital, and then bought it out. He lives near the Timiryazev Academy. He speaks very warmly about the Nizhny Novgorod region, which is native to our hero. Spends a lot of time in Worsma. He is building a house there.

Vladimir Zakharov is the creator of the Rock Islands group. Almost all the musical activity of our hero is connected with this group. In 2005, the album "Once" appeared. These works form together the trilogy "City". However, our hero does not draw certain boundaries between a solo career and the work of the Rock Islands team. On the covers of his own albums, next to the name of the author, there is the name of the group. In 2001-2003, our hero participated in a project called "Kotui Story". Its author is Vyacheslav Klimenkov - general producer of Soyuz-Production.
