"Peter FM": actors, heroes and "a film from nothing"

A film about an absent-minded girl - DJ Masha Emelyanova, and a promising architect Maxim was released in the spring of 2006. The story immerses us in the romantic atmosphere of spring St. Petersburg.

Storyline

Masha is going to marry her classmate Kostya. Maxim is invited to work in Germany. He says goodbye to his friends. With the city.

Atmosphere

"Peter FM" is an incredibly atmospheric film. Positive Masha Emelyanova, a chic musical selection and, in fact, the city itself are responsible for the spring mood - beautiful, sunny in this story, awakening from a winter sleep.

The film is full of kind, touching characters. Episodic roles are played by Vladimir Mashkov and Andrey Krasko.

Ekaterina Fedulova (MashaEmelyanova) says that if the story had been filmed, for example, in Moscow, it would have turned out completely different. Peter is a separate character in the film.

This is a story about accidents that turn out to be not accidental in the end. If Masha had not lost her phone, she would have married the unloved Kostya. And Max would go to live in Germany, although the life of a St. Petersburg romantic attracts him much more.

"Piter FM": the film, actors and roles here are all modern, but the picture is similar to those that were filmed in the 60s. There is no violence and gore here, the story is bright, life-affirming and kind.

Evgeny Tsyganov played Maxim Vasiliev. Director Oksana Bychkova approved him for the role without audition. And Evgeny was attracted by the opportunity to work in St. Petersburg with a company of debutants, and he agreed. Eugene says that his hero - Maxim, exists outside the social context. He does not aspire to become the first, the champion. He is engaged in architecture and moonlights as a janitor. Max is a visitor, but people like him - naive, romantic - create the image of Peter.

Irina Rakhmanova (Lera, Masha's friend) says that "Peter FM" that everything that is done is for the best. And this is a very necessary movie, inspiring hope. On the set of the film, the actors constantly listened to music. And even in the film, Lera does not part with her headphones, she carries music with her everywhere.

Ira Rakhmanova and Katya Fedulova are friends in real life. And that helped them improvise in the film. Their duet turned out to be positive and charged with positive emotions.

Aleksey Barabash (Kostya) is a third-generation Petersburger who loves his native city very much. He talks about how he loves to get up early or stay up until the morning to see how the city wakes up. The bridges are divorced… Sprinklers make the asph alt beautiful, gray. And the director managed to convey this atmosphere.

Kostya is the hero of our time. Successful, financially secure, predictable. But in the film, the task was to make the character of Bones annoying. This movie has its own characters. Wrong.

The film's sound engineer Kirill Pirogov has a cameo role in the film. He plays the new boyfriend of Maxim's ex-girlfriend - Marina. In the beginning, he had words. Then there was only the song that the heroes sing in the car. And according to Cyril - it's great. Words make an accent, but here there is only the atmosphere of spring St. Petersburg. The film seems to be "woven from nothing", this is the highlight of "Piter FM".

Actors and their roles do not set the task of conveying an intricate plot. The characters just live. And the actors live their characters, enjoy the city and teamwork.

A word to the creators

Elena Glikman (producer) says that it's great that for many guys the film "Peter FM" became their debut - actors, creators could break loose and come in the middle of the night. They were on fire with their work.

There is an explanation why the picture is called "Peter FM". Maxim and Masha understand each other perfectly. They are on the same wavelength with each other and with the city.

For OksanaBychkova (directed by "Piter FM") the film, the actors - everything was for the first time and became a "school of cinema". And not only for her. 14 debutants worked on the picture. In "Peter FM" actors, directors, sound engineers, make-up artists, mechanics, almost all are involved in the episodes. This is a directorial debut for Oksana herself. She was a little anxious to shoot newbies. It was terrible that they would not play together, they would not be able to convey the atmosphere. For her, it was a real school. And everything worked out. The film was released in wide distribution and was very fond of the audience.
