EVO (Eternal Voice of Orbits) is a rising star of the Russian rock scene, born in Severodvinsk. The official date of formation is May 12, 2009. The style of music can be described as trancecore, electronic post-hardcore. These genres have appeared relatively recently, but have already won the hearts of many young people around the world. Transcore is a mixture of typical rock and trance sounds, using both heavy riffs and samples (a digitized piece of music). Combining all these elements, the band Evo got a truly unique sound, fully consistent with the name of the band.
So, the composition of the group today is as follows:
- Roma Donskov ("Dread") - guitar;
- Dima Telegin ("Mad Dee") - vocals and samples;
- Dmitry Stesyakov ("MBond") - rap and beatbox;
- Maxim Sirikov ("Chicago!") - guitar;
- Dima Baev ("Space Fish") - bass;
- Misha Romitsyn ("No Ember") - backing vocals.
Dmitry Telegin is the founder and main thought leader of the group. In his interviews, he states that the EVO group is not a commercial project and has little in commonhas with the modern world of show business. For the same reason, they do not name the exact topics of releases, since they do not set a rigid framework for themselves. Music is born only when inspiration comes to the participants, this is the secret of the success of their music - everything comes from the heart and nothing else.
Evo's discography deserves special attention. The rock band has released 4 demo albums so far, the last of which was released in 2010, as well as 4 full-length albums, the newest of which was released in 2013 and is called "Poisonous Breath of the Stars".
In 2010, the Evo group faced a crisis - vocalist Dima Telegin was forced to temporarily leave the project, but the group's history did not end there. The guys did not give in to difficulties, and soon they began to create again, practically in the same composition. Of course, the sound and theme of the songs have changed, but this is an indicator of the development of the group. The guys never rest on their laurels, they try to bring the sound of music as close as possible to their ideal.
Thanks to their irrepressible energy, creativity and fresh ideas, in a short time of existence, the Evo group has not only risen to the top of the domestic transcore scene, but is also gradually gaining popularity in foreign countries. A huge plus for the guys is that they really appreciate their fans, and they, in turn, respond to their idols with devotion and love. Already after the release of the first album, the group began to travel around the country, delighting fans with live performances that always leave a lot ofpositive emotions. Luckily for the fans, touring is the band's mainstay.
Evo's songs are incredibly sincere and designed to reach the hearts of listeners, to make them better and more humane. Despite the profanity that is ubiquitous in the lyrics, the songs do not "cut the ears", and expressive expressions only help to focus on a particular thought. The theme of Evo songs is diverse: the guys raise both social and even political problems, as well as problems of ideology and love, which, of course, is close to all young hearts. Evo is the music of the 21st century, a bit cosmic, but at the same time so close to modern youth, because it reflects all the fears, thoughts and desires and problems of young people.
