His literary journey began in 1937. It was then that Granin's first stories were published - "Fatherland" and "The Return of Rulyak". Among the most famous creations of the writer are such novels as "Searchers" (1954), "I'm going into a thunderstorm" (1962), as well as "Picture" (1980). The first print run of the work was 4,000 copies, and a little later it was published in Roman-Gazeta already in 4 million copies. The story created in 1974, called "This Strange Life", is also popular.
