Actor Philippe Noiret became famous in our country in the early 1960s, when the movie Captain Fracasse was released. And although the main roles in the film were played by Jean Marais and Jean Rochefort, the image of the Tyrant was also remembered by the Soviet audience. Noiret's filmography contains several dozen paintings, and in terms of the number of prestigious awards, he can compete with Alain Delon and Jean Gabin.
Family
Philippe's father - Pierre Noiret - was the director of a large construction company. In his free time, he was fond of prose and poetry, so a creative atmosphere reigned in the family. His mother Lucie Guillen Erman, Belgian by birth, was a housewife and raised two children - Philippe and his brother Jean, who was born in 1925.
Young years
The future actor was born in 1930 in the city of Lille. When Philip was not yet five years old, the family moved to Toulouse, the capital of the French region of the South - the Pyrenees. It was there that he developed a passion for horse breeding that he carried throughout his life.
At the insistence of his parents, Philippe Noiret goes to study in Paris and enters the Lycée Janson de Sayy. There he manifests himself as a complete lazy person, so his father sends him to finish his studies at the Jesuit College of Juilli, known for its strict disciplinary procedures.
Not showing zeal in studies, Philippe Noiret at the same time enjoys performing in amateur performances and singing in the choir. There, he has a very beautiful voice, thanks to which the young man is invited to perform with the children's choir during the solemn Easter service at St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican in 1949.
