Attempt

In 2013, an attempt was made on S. Filin near his house. An unknown person doused Sergey's face with acid. Maria Prorvich tried to give her husband at least some first aid, she washed him with cold water. The general director of the Bolshoi Theater was sure that the purpose of the assassination attempt was to remove S. Filin from the post of artistic director. There were many suspects. Among them was the famous Nikolai Tsiskaridze, the leading soloist of the Bolshoi Theater. But during the investigation it was proved that this dancer was not involved in the case. One of the main suspects was the Bolshoi Theater soloist Pavel Dmitrichenko. As it turned out, he was the organizer of the crime. The performer was his neighbor in the country, Yuri Zarutsky - previously convicted. Pavel Dmitrichenko was arrested and sentenced to six years in prison. He must serve his sentence in a strict regime colony. The court soon reversed its decision. Pavel's sentence was reduced to six months.

Since February, Sergei Filin has been in Germany for treatment. He stayed in the city of Aachen until the autumn of 2013.
