Fans of detective stories are probably familiar with the books "Lawyer" and "Journalist", on which the film "Gangster Petersburg" was shot. The author of these wonderful works, Andrei Dmitrievich Konstantinov (real name Bakonin), is familiar to every Russian.

Writer Andrei Konstantinov: biography

September 30, 1963 in the Astrakhan region, the village of Privolzhsky, Andrei Dmitrievich Bakonin was born. The parents of the future writer, Natalya Pavlovna and Dmitry Viktorovich, were at that time students of the Technological Institute and had an internship in the Volga region. After graduation, they returned to Leningrad with their son.

As a child, Andrei Konstantinov dreamed of archeology, new discoveries. But in the end, after graduating from school in 1980, he entered the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Leningrad State University. He graduated from the university with a degree in history and culture of the Arab countries. While still a student, he began working in Yemen as a translator from Arabic, then in Benghazi, in Tripoli he was a senior translator. Upon his return to Russia in 1991, he worked as a correspondent for the Smena newspaper, a leading criminalchronicles.

Creative activity

Andrey Konstantinov started his career as a writer thanks to his friend, Swedish journalist Malcolm Dixelius. A well-known journalist and director in Europe came to Russia to shoot a film about organized criminal groups, Andrei Dmitrievich helped him in the filming. And later their joint work - "The Underworld of Russia" was released. Despite the fact that books brought Andrei Konstantinov universal fame, he claims that his favorite brainchild is journalism.

The next step in his writing career was his acquaintance with the then-famous film director Valery Ogorodnikov. He suggested that the novice journalist create a script for a film about gangs. At first, Andrei Konstantinov wanted to refuse, referring to the fact that he did not have enough experience, but in the end he agreed. This is how his book "Lawyer" appeared, which was the basis of the film "Gangster Petersburg".

In 1995, Andrey Konstantinov proposed to establish a journalistic competition of international scale "Golden Pen". In 1998, he created an agency of independent journalistic investigations, which has already solved dozens of contract killings and other serious crimes. The creative heritage of the writer is very extensive: it is a whole series of wonderful books. The very first, Gangster Petersburg, based on which the television movie of the same name was made, includes twelve books. They describe the adventures of journalist Andrei Obnorsky, who began to investigate the murder of his friend. As a result, he was drawn into an incredible cycle of events, where both bandits and special services were involved. Who is more worth fearing, time will tell.

The next series of books - Surveillance - consists of three volumes: Crew, Rebus, Trap. It tells about two friends, Pavel Kozyrev and Igor Lyamin, who, by hook or by crook, sought to get into the service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs. As a result, they succeeded, both comrades were accepted into the operational-search unit. In the first days of work, their comrade dies, but evil must be punished.

The next trilogy "Friend or foe": in it Valery Shtukin, an employee of the criminal investigation department, is introduced into the gang of the former thief in law Yungerov. The plot is interesting in that the offender sends his adopted son to serve in the police. The fates of these two people are intertwined in a ball, will it be possible to unravel it?
