Summary of Koval's "Adventures of Vasya Kurolesov" is a short retelling of a children's story. In addition, the reader will learn a little about the author himself and the history of the creation of the work. A kind story about courage and justice that can bring a smile is sure to improve the mood of readers.
History of the creation of the work
Yuri Koval's story "The Adventures of Vasya Kurolesov" was published in 1971. According to its literary genre, the work can be attributed to humorous detective stories. The story tells about the noble act of a very young boy who helped the police to catch one very dangerous gang of swindlers, causing a lot of problems for the city's residents.
Summary of Koval's "Adventures of Vasya Kurolesov" will be presented later. In the meantime, it should be said that the work is the first part of a trilogy. This series of books is very fond of the youngreadership with its simplicity and interesting plot. The second part of the cycle is the book "Five Kidnapped Monks", and the third - "Miss Citizen Loshakov". Already after the release of the first part of the series, Yuri Koval received success and fame. In 1981, based on the book "The Adventures of Vasya Kurolesov" by Koval, a summary of which you will find below, a cartoon of the same name was shot, on which more than one generation of children grew up. Its content is very close to the original version of the book.
I would also like to note that the work has been translated into several foreign languages. In addition, the story is included in the list of the best world literature by UNESCO.
The stories that formed the basis of the work
The plot of this work was based on stories that Yuri heard from his father, a police officer, head of the criminal department, from childhood.
Some of the characters in the story are real people. The author of the work himself does not hide this fact.
Summary of Koval's "Adventures of Vasya Kurolesov"
The plot takes place in the Moscow region - in the suburbs. The main character, Vasya Kurolesov, lived in a small village with his mother. One day they head to the city to buy piglets. Upon arriving home, Vasya notices that in the bag where the piglets were supposed to be, there is an ordinary red dog. He decides to keep the dog for himself and calls him the Sailor. Together with the dog, he again goes to the city to find a scammer who slippedhim the wrong animal in the bag.
In the city, Vasya meets a senior police sergeant and tells him his story. In addition, among Vasya's new acquaintances, the fraudster Baton appears, who fell under police arrest.
Vasya, together with his dog Matros, joins two responsible police officers who are looking for the leader of the entire gang, robbing a decent population, and also causing great trouble to the defense authorities.
The main characters of "The Adventures of Vasya Kurolesov"
In the work you can meet several characters around which the plot unfolds. However, Vasya himself and his dog named Sailor can be called the main characters of "The Adventures of Vasya Kurolesov". In addition, police officers are no less important characters: Captain Boldyrev, Sergeant Tarakanov and Private Frazier. The criminal group, consisting of Baton, Black-Moustache and Rasp, is also of no small importance.
Moral of Yuri Koval's story
What do Vasya Kurolesov's Adventures teach? Well, the answer to this question is quite obvious. The main morality that the work carries in itself can be formulated as follows: "Everything secret becomes clear." The story, which tells about justice, nobility, courage, which are manifested in character traits from a very young age, teaches every child to make the right decisions, find the right way out of any difficult situations. Despite the fact that the main character is the most ordinary boy who grew up in the village, he was not afraid to enter intoconfrontation with a whole bandit group. This courage allowed Vasya to win such an unequal fight. Finding morality on your own is the main task of the reader. That is why the work is recommended for reading at a young age.
Children's story reviews
Fazil Iskander, no less famous person, spoke positively about the work of Yuri Koval. Fazil said that the creation of such a secret, which will be mixed with satire and will be really interesting to the reader, is not at all an easy task. However, Yuri Koval managed to do it. The feelings that the author described in his story show how voluminous the palette of all human emotions is at certain life stages under any circumstances. According to Iskander, humor arises precisely when the whole storm of emotions can fit in one movement, one phrase, one word. In addition, as Fazil noted, this was again proven by Yuri Koval in his work “The Adventures of Vasya Kurolesov.”
