The book, which was written in 1959 by Valentina Oseeva, "Dinka" tells about Dinka's childhood, about her strong friendship with the orphan boy Lenka and about their adventures experienced together. This autobiographical story is dedicated to the author's mother and sister. Dinka was called a difficult child, she is eccentric, but at the same time desperate and sincere, time after time she came across another life lesson. I bring to your attention the story written by Valentina Oseeva, "Dinka" - a summary of the book.
Part one. Family
The post-revolutionary time makes Alexander Dmitrievich Arseniev hide from the authorities abroad for more than a year. His wife Marina works as a proofreader in the editorial office. She, three daughters, Marina's younger sister Katya, Lina the cook and family friend old man Nikitich all live together in Samara. Marina, along with Katya and Nikitich, take an active part in revolutionary activities. Marina does not stop faithfully waiting for her husband, she sincerely believes in the victory of the revolution, often tells the girls about her father, instills in them a love of literature and music.
Among other characters, as the summary of the book "Dinka" shows, Oseeva Valentina mentions Oleg, the older brother of Marina and Katya. He serves as a forester in the lands of the count, replacing his father's early orphaned sisters. He helps them financially, despite the fact that he does not take part in revolutionary activities - the sisters can always rely on him.
Alina, Angela and Dinka
We continue to consider the work written by Oseeva V., "Dinka" (summary of the book). In the summer, the Arsenyev family lives in a rented dacha on the banks of the Volga. Alina, the eldest daughter, is a precocious child. A twelve-year-old excellent student is trying to participate in the revolution on an equal footing with adults, at a time when she was little, she helped her father with all her might. When the police broke into the Arsenyevs' house, breaking all the windows, Alina was very frightened, and she had a nervous breakdown. Since then, the mother has been trying to shield her daughter from unnecessary unrest.
Ten-year-old Angela is a family favorite. This is a kind and sympathetic girl, fragile and sickly, she loves to read. She is called Mouse because of her large gray eyes and white hair.
Finally moving on to the youngest daughter. The main character of the story is an eight-year-old Dinka. Oseeva describes her as a he althy, strong and active child, for whom her mother constantly does not have enough time or energy. Katya also does not particularly try to find a common language with the child. Marina believes that Katya is too strict with Dinka, because of this, the sisters often swear. Dinka does not know his father at all, and he would hardly have recognized his grown daughter when they met.
Meet Lenka
One day, while walking along the banks of the Volga, Dinka nearly drowned. The boy Lenka saved her - this is how their acquaintance happened. His mother died, and he stayed to work for Gordey Revyakin, the owner of the barge. He mocked Lenka, while staying away from people and communicating only with customers. Lenka had a good friend - a young worker Nikolai, who was Revyakin's neighbor. He taught the boy to read and write, even tried to take him to him. However, the unexpectedly descending police arrested Nikolai, finding proclamations in his house.
Describing the story written by Valentina Oseeva, "Dinka" (summary of the book), it is worth mentioning the case when Lenka reveals a secret to the girl: he wants to escape from Revyakin. At first, he plans to live in a cave, and when the cold comes, he will stick with the fishermen. Dinka invites Lenka to meet her family, but he is afraid that the intelligent Arsenyevs will forbid her to communicate with him. Dinka has to lie about her pastime.
Escape attempts
Katya is in love with the revolutionary Kostya, he loves her back, but is very passionate about the revolution. The girl is tormented by vague thoughts, she decides to accept the proposal of Viktor Nikolayevich, who is in love with her, a sugar manufacturer and friend of Oleg. The Arsenievs begin to wait for his arrival.
Meanwhile, Kostya is trying to organize the escape of Nikolai, but everything ends in failure - the police arrived at the scene, many were arrested. A traitor has made his way into the organization, and all suspicions fall on Mercury. Kostya broughthelp and found out that this is the second case involving this person, which ends in failure.
Kostya plans to ingratiate himself with the noble Krachkovskys, comrades and neighbors of the Arseniev family. Krachkovskaya is not opposed to Kostya living in their wing and fishing, especially since her son Goga is also not averse to fishing.
We continue to consider the story written by Valentina Oseeva, "Dinka". A brief summary for the reader's diary will come in handy. But back to Kostya's plan to re-liberate Nikolai. He has already rented a house from the Krachkovskys and plans for Nikitich to make friends with the fishermen. He plans to deliver the fugitive to a rented house, after which Nikitich will ferry him to the other side on a boat rented from fishermen. Oleg will be waiting for him there, who will be able to deliver Nikolai to a safe place on horseback.
Part two. Escape Lenka
During the loading of the barge, a quarrel starts between Revyakin and the workers. He orders Lenka to help and, seeing that he cannot cope, he beats the boy. Dinka stands up for Lenka, and the loaders defend the children. Taking advantage of the commotion, the orphan runs away.
Further, as Valentina Oseeva describes, Dinka overhears Kostya instructing Alina to monitor the appearance of Mercury in the vicinity of the house. She has a desire to figure everything out herself, and Dinka tells Lenka about everything. He, left unattended, moonlights as a porter in the market, but moneycatastrophically lacking. Dinka tries to help a friend and goes to dachas to sing with a homeless organ grinder, who nevertheless deceives her and does not share the money he has earned. Lyonka, talking with his friend Stepan, whom he met at the market, learns that he is distributing proclamations, at the same time Stepan reveals a secret: a traitor has appeared in his entourage.
Appearance of Mercury
Continuing to consider the story written by V. Oseeva, "Dinka" (summary), it is impossible not to recall how Lenka met the Arsenyev family. The boy, out of boredom, often came to their dacha and sat there under the fence. Once, when guests gathered in their house, Alina announced a literary evening. Lyonka was about to start listening to poetry, when he suddenly noticed a man who, according to the description, was very similar to Mercury. Seeing Kostya, he crouched against the fence. Lyonka realized that this was exactly the person whom Alina was instructed to find, he ran into the house to tell this news, but he failed to catch the traitor. Katya and Marina are surprised by the appearance of an unfamiliar boy.
Further developments
What are the qualities of the main characters that V. Oseeva described in her story? "Dinka" (the content of the work speaks of smart, fearless and honest children) shows us guys who will do everything in the name of justice. Lyonka takes care of Dink, consoles her when she is upset. Marina is touched by this.
The boy continues to sell fish in the city, when suddenly he notices Mercury in the crowd. He hurries to warn Stepan, hegives Lenka a stack of proclamations and he is arrested. Lyonka tries to help his friend and prove that he is innocent: he buys bagels with all his savings, puts leaflets in them and continues his friend's work. Dinka tries to help her friend, and at home they are worried about her frequent absence. What can this book teach (Oseeva, "Dinka")? And great friendship, and mutual assistance, and humanity. This is what the author wants to convey to the reader.
Quite unexpectedly, Marina tries to talk heart to heart with her daughter, she tells about her friend, that he is starving, her mother reproaches her for not helping Lenka, and offers to invite him to the house. Lenka is pleasantly surprised by the invitation, but before coming to visit, he wants to join the ship as a cabin boy and is already in uniform to visit the Arsenievs.
Implementation of Nikolai's escape
The escape goes well, exactly as planned by Kostya. When Nikolai was already at the Krachkovskys' dacha, Mercury sneaks under Marina's window, but Alina noticed him in time. A fight breaks out between Kostya and the white-eyed traitor. It so happened that Mercury during the struggle falls into a cliff.
Without explaining anything to Marina and Katya, Kostya takes Nikolai for his further crossing. Faced with a frightened Lenka, Kostya takes him into the boat with him. Already on the way, Nikolai recognizes his little friend and asks Kostya to take care of the guy.
The cold has come, and Dinka offers Lenka to spend the night in their rented apartment, she secretly finds the key, and they go there. In the yard they see a lot of gendarmes, and in Dink's apartment itselfmet Kostya. He tries to hide the revolver. Having wrapped it in a doll, he gave it to the girl, and she, in turn, gave it to Lenka, who hid the revolver on the cliff. Kostya is still arrested, after which he is sent into exile in Siberia. Katya follows him.
Part three
One of the most interesting and fascinating works describing the revolutionary time was written by V. Oseeva. "Dinka" (a summary of the chapters demonstrates this well) allows the reader to fully plunge into that world. Marina plans to move to Ukraine. She remembers the promise given to Nikolai and wants to take Lenka to her place. But the boy was still taken as a cabin boy on a ship, his classes end in a couple of days.
Friends advise Marina to leave as soon as possible, she packs her things and leaves news to Lenka. On the train she meets her husband, he finally moved to Russia.
Arriving at the Arsenyevs' house, Lenka tries to help Marina in everything, he sincerely fell in love with her, she began to consider him her son. He spoiled the mouse like a little sister, but Alina is wary of him.
New life in Ukraine
Life in Kyiv is starting to improve, the girls are entering the gymnasium, and Marina wants Lenya to study there too. She hires a student Vasily for him as a tutor, whose fate is very similar to the fate of Lenka. They begin to become close friends. Vasily irritates the Arsenyev family, he himself is meticulous about them, with the exception of Mouse - only she was able to callhim tenderness.
What is Dinka doing at this time? Oseeva writes that while studying at the gymnasium she likes to play pranks with her friends, teachers often complain about her to their parents. When Dinka got a deuce in arithmetic, she decides to become a straight A student. To do this, he asks for help from Vasily, he does not refuse, and things with studies are gradually returning to normal.
Conclusion
Alexander Dmitrievich instructed Oleg to buy a farm in a remote place near Kyiv. Now the whole family can go on vacation in the summer. The children really like the new place, trusting relationships are established with the neighbors. Dinka quickly finds friends. Lenka stayed in the city for the summer to prepare for the exams, he passes them brilliantly and goes to the Arsenievs to celebrate his admission. Alexander Dmitrievich also arrives there. Finally the whole family is together! This is where the work written by V. Oseeva, “Dinka”, ends. A brief summary can help to feel this interesting story.
