Biography
Alexander Kott was born in 1972 in Moscow. Studied at the School of Aesthetic Education. For several years he worked as a photographer, participated in exhibitions in the capital. Then he entered VGIK, in the workshop of Vladimir Khotinenko. Alexander Kott also attended a master class by Polish director Andrzej Wajda. His first film work was the short film Rope. Feature film directed by Alexander Kott in 2001.

But the main thing is that she is involved in the case of the theft of diamonds, which Shakhov is so persistently trying to solve. All his efforts are unsuccessful. Because the real criminal, the main organizer of the crime, is too close. Shakhov's zeal costs him his freedom and his wife's life. He is sent to jail. He returns to a completely different country. And only then he manages to solve this complicated case. It is worth saying that the story that formed the basis of the plot of the film Cott remained unsolved.
