Stephen King's books are filmed quite often. But directors and screenwriters do not always manage to convey that mystical and terrifying atmosphere that reigns in the stories of the King of Horrors.

Storyline

1989, Derry, Maine. The once quiet city is shaken by terrifying events. Children begin to disappear, and no one is able to find the culprit. At first, the police blame the children themselves for the disappearances, believing that they did not disappear, but ran away from home. But soon they can no longer hide behind this version: the remains of the bodies of the missing are found in the sewers.

No one but a few kids can see that it all started a year ago when Georgie Denbrough died. And no one, except for the club of losers, knows what kind of creature is awakening under Derry.
