Stories about the valor and heroism of Russian soldiers during the Great Patriotic War never lose their relevance. However, in order to interest the younger generation, directors and screenwriters are trying to give films based on these stories more intrigue. One of these films is the film Ordered to Destroy! Operation: "Chinese box". Filmed in the detective genre, this picture tells about the impending attempt on the part of the German special services on the "leader of the peoples" I. V. Stalin. According to some versions, the script was based on materials from the secret archives of the Soviet intelligence services. Though it's hard to believe.
“Chinese box” - operation to destroy Stalin
The plot develops in 1944. At the beginning of the film, Hitler, played by Valery Zolotukhin, being in a desperate situation, sets the German secret services a difficult task - to destroy Stalin (Gennady Khazanov). Naturally, in order to fulfill this super-task, the Germans need agents,specially trained in the sabotage school of assassins, in which Soviet prisoners of war are used as living material for training.
One of the German officers-instructors invites prisoners to take part in gladiator fights with their relatives. The only one who manages to survive is Pyotr Tavrin (Konstantin Lavronenko), a fugitive Russian soldier. At the same time, news of the upcoming operation “Chinese Box” comes to the attention of the Soviet intelligence services. The Russians, in turn, create the Smersh counterintelligence group, consisting of one experienced and two young intelligence officers. However, despite their inexperience, they still manage to uncover the criminal network. But they have yet to find the future killer of Stalin and neutralize him. At some point, it becomes clear to Russian intelligence officers that one of them is a mole. But who exactly? Will Operation “Chinese Box” not be revealed?

The success of any feature film largely depends on the choice of actors. In this case, among the cast there are both big names (Gennady Khazanov, Mikhail Efremov, Andrey Smolyakov, Renata Litvinova, Sergey Batalov, Valery Zolotukhin and others), stars of the younger generation (Taras Babich, Kirill Pletnev, Ivan Stebunov, Ilya Sokolvsky and others.), as well as actors unknown to the public, who nevertheless managed to masterfully create their images, making them for the audienceinteresting and memorable.
“Chinese box” is a real operation
Since everything that was hidden behind the walls of the KGB will never be fully available to the public, there is no official information regarding the assassination attempt on the Leader of the Peoples I. Stalin by the German special services, only assumptions. However, after analyzing the situation that developed in 1944, we can assume that the assassination of the Commander-in-Chief of the Soviet Troops is the only sure way out of this situation for Nazi Germany. In view of this, there is every reason to believe that this operation, which was called the “Chinese Box”, was in fact, although not completed, but started by a German reconnaissance group.
