Shiri Appleby is an American actress, best known for playing the following lead roles: Liz Parker in the youth fantasy television project Alien City and Rachel Goldberg in the comedy-drama series Unreal. The actress also starred in the video for the most popular song of the rock band Bon Jovi - It's My Life.
Early life
The actress was born on December 7, 1978 in Los Angeles, California. Shiri's name means "my song" in Hebrew. She is the daughter of schoolteacher Dina Appleby, who is of Moroccan Sephardic Jewish descent, and telecommunications director Jerry Appleby, who is of Ashkenazi Jewish descent. Shiri has a younger brother, software engineer Evan Appleby.
The actress received her secondary education at Calabasas High School, where she was a yearbook editor and cheerleader, she graduated from an educational institution in 1997. Then she entered the University of South Carolina, paying attention to English literature and theatrical art along the way. And in 2010 she enteredUniversity of Phoenix, where psychology was the main subject.
Actress career
Shiri Appleby first appeared on television at the age of four, starring in commercials to overcome her excessive shyness. Her first commercial was for "Bran's" raisins, but it never aired.
The debut series in which the actress starred in 1984 was the soap opera "Santa Barbara" about the exciting and turbulent life of members of the we althy Camwell family. As a feature film actress, Shiri Appleby made her feature film debut in the 1989 low-budget horror film The Grudge 2: The Bite, then starred in Lawrence Kasdan's black comedy I Love You to Death with stars such as Kevin Kline and Keanu Reeves. Over the next four years, the actress grabbed any work and appeared in a variety of television projects. Time passed, and Appleby began to get serious roles.
After leaving school, the young girl starred in the family film 7th Heaven with young Jessica Biel, followed by the teen comedy City Boys.
In 1999, with the start of filming in the series "Roswell" ("Alien City"), success finally came. Shiri became popular, recognizable, appeared in glossy magazines.

After the birth of the baby, the young people got married. Shiri gave birth to a son named Owen Lee Shuk, the second child, on December 16, 2015 at the age of 37.
