Gyacintova Sofya is a famous and wonderful film and theater actress, who proved herself both as an excellent theater director and artistic director of the Lenkom Theater. For a long time she was engaged in teaching activities, teaching young and talented actors. The outstanding actress Sofya Vladimirovna spoke about her life, love and work in her autobiographical book “Alone with Memory”.

Childhood

Giacintova Sofia was born in Moscow. This happened on August 4th, 1895. Her family was noble. Father, Vladimir Yegorovich, was passionate about writing. Mother, Elizaveta Alekseevna Venkstern, was engaged in raising children.

The uncle of the future actress Giacintova, Alexei Venkstern, was not only a Pushkinist, but also composed small comic plays. Sophia's sister Elizaveta married the famous artist Mikhail Rodionov.

Getting an education

In 1911, Sofya Vladimirovna Giatsintova entered the capital's Higher Women's Courses,choosing the Faculty of History. She studied at these courses for two years, and at the same time attended the classes of actress Elena Muratova, where she mastered acting.

Theatrical career

Soon Giacintova Sophia went to work in the capital's art theater. Her duties included constantly being at rehearsals and actively participating in all extras, where the young actress had no words. But the aspiring actress at that time was only fifteen years old, so she was glad to participate in theatrical performances anyway.

And in 1910 Sophia Giacintova passed the competition and entered the youth group formed at the Moscow Art Theater. They studied according to the Stanislavsky system. She also got a stage name - Fialochka, which was given to her by Kachalov, and then her colleagues began to call her that all the time.

Soon she was already playing small roles on stage, where there were necessarily few words. Everyone treated her well, as the girl behaved diligently and neatly, and even to this was added her charming appearance and the presence of a huge talent. At this time, she managed to play in six performances: the role of a maid in the theatrical production of Life in the Paws, the role of Mitil in the play The Blue Bird, the role of Masha in the theatrical production of Enough Stupidity for Every Wise Man, and others.

The work of Sofia Vladimirovna in the art theater was highly appreciated by such theater teachers as Nemirovich-Danchenko and Stanislavsky. Soon this group of talented youth was renamed the First Moscow Art Theater School. Starting from 1913, after the formation of the first school-studio at the Moscow theater, the actress Sofya Vladimirovna Giatsintova, who was always interesting to the audience, played in five performances: the role of Clementine in the theatrical production of “The Death of Hope”, the role of Mary in the play “Twelfth Night” Ides in the play "Celebration of Peace" and others.

Now a young and charming actress could not imagine life without this acting fraternity. During this time, starting in 1925, Sofya Vladimirovna played in nine performances: the role of Sofya Lihutina in the theatrical production of "Petersburg", the role of Sima in the play "The Eccentric", the role of Ranevskaya in the theatrical production of "The Cherry Orchard" and others.

In 1936, the Art Theater was closed, and this was a real tragedy for the actress Hyacinthova. But in 1938 she starts working elsewhere. Already at the beginning of her activity in the theater of the Lenin Komsomol, she played one of her best and most significant roles. This is the role of Nora in the play "A Doll's House". On the stage, Sofia Giatsintova, whose personal life is eventful, played more than 20 performances. Among them are such roles as the role of Natalia Petrovna in the play "A Month in the Village", the role of Lisa in the theatrical production of "The Living Corpse", the role of Alexandra Trapeznikova in the play "Good Name" and others.

Sofya Vladimirovna worked at the Lenin Komsomol Theater for over 40 years, playing a huge number of main roles on its stage and becoming the hostactress of this theater.

Giacintova - head of the theater

After the death of her husband Ivan Bersenev, Sofia Giatsintova, an actress who became famous for her roles, began to direct the theater. She needed an unusual world, because she was always in demand professionally. She participated in all the affairs of the theater, lived his life, but always skillfully kept her distance.

Film career

In 1946, the charming and outstanding actress Giacintova appeared for the first time. In the film "The Oath" directed by Mikhail Chiaureli, she played the role of Varvara Petrova, the wife of the protagonist. Stepan Petrov, along with his family, makes his way through the area occupied by the gangs to deliver a letter to Lenin that describes the kulaks. Stepan himself dies, but the wife fulfills her husband's request and sends the letter. She also brings up well the children who die for their Motherland. This role is considered the most famous work of the talented actress Giacintova.

In 1949 Sofya Vladimirovna played the role of Ivanova's mother in the film "The Fall of Berlin" directed by Mikhail Chiareuli. It is known that in the cinema she was most often offered to act in propaganda films. In total, there are more than 10 films in the creative piggy bank of a talented actress.

Since 1952, Sofya Vladimirovna has also become the director of the Lenin Komsomol Theater, where she staged more than twenty performances. Significant is such a work by Giacintova as the play "Provincial", which was staged in 1969 together with the television director Lilia Ishimbayeva. In addition, the following theatrical productions can be distinguished in the director's piggy bank of Sofia Vladimirovna: "Good Name", "Smoke of the Fatherland" and others.

Pedagogical activity

Starting from 1958, the talented outstanding actress Giatsintova began teaching at the GITIS named after Lunacharsky. For three years, she successfully taught acting to students. And after that, Sofia Vladimirovna, together with the theater teacher Valentin Smyshlyaev, also taught the Belarusian class at the drama studio at the Moscow Art Theater.

Autobiographical book "Alone with Memory"

Shortly before her death, Sofya Vladimirovna wrote an amazing book, where she described in detail not only her life, but shed light on the theatricala world without which she could not imagine her existence. Sofya Giatsintova wrote about her family, about the people with whom her life and the theater brought her together, about her loved ones and close people - all this was written in the book “Alone with Memory”. It reflects the views of the actress herself on what happened in the country, in her fate, in the life of talented and famous actors. It is known that this autobiographical book has already been reprinted several times.

Private life

In 1910, poet Sergei Solovyov was in love with a talented and charming actress, but the girl rejected him. He soon jumped out of the window, but survived, was in a psychiatric hospital for some time.

It is known that in 1917 the charming actress Giatsintova married a beautiful and young officer Giatsintov. Erast Nikolaevich was her cousin. When the Civil War began, the young officer first joined the Volunteer Army, and then emigrated from the Crimea to Europe. Later he moved to America. But Sofya Vladimirovna did not follow her husband, but remained in Moscow, as she could not imagine life without a theater.

Sofya Vladimirovna will later see her husband one more time when she and the theater will be on tour in Prague. Then, in 1923, this meeting influenced the decision of the actress, and the very next year she achieved a divorce from her husband.

Sofya Vladimirovna had a strange and difficult personal life, as evidenced by her biography. Giatsintova Sofya Vladimirovna during the years of work in the Moscow Arttheater met with actor Ivan Bersenev. Despite the fact that this acquaintance took place in 1911, the romance between them began only thirteen years later.

When Sofya Vladimirovna stopped listening to the advice of friends about Bersenev, who could take care of several women at once, the young people began a stormy romance. But they hid these relations, since Bersenev was not free, and Sofya Vladimirovna was afraid of the condemnation of her friends. But it was this connection that served as the reason for the divorce of Ivan Bersenev, and soon after that they got married.

Sofya Vladimirovna lived with her second husband until the end of his days, helping him in his work and always supporting him. The most prominent actress Giacintova died on April 12, 1982.
