Alexander, later known to many as Shura Karetny, was born in Moscow in 1950. After graduating from high school, he went to the army, and upon his return he entered the Shchepkinsky Theater School. Why he chose this particular path, the actor tries to remain silent, answering briefly: he always succeeded in acting, especially when combined with a sense of humor and a sharp tongue. In 1975, Alexander Anatolyevich Pozharov got a job at the Hermitage Theater, where he played in every performance: Zoya's Apartment, The White Sheep, Under the Bed, and many others.

According to critics, Alexander has an outstanding talent and abilities that allow him to transform into a variety of types and images.
