Under mysterious circumstances, a close friend of the protagonist dies. Andrey is shell-shocked, and the medical commission forbids him from medical practice for a while. In a moment of desperation, Kovalev agrees to test a illicit drug that supposedly will help him return to his former form. Only the price of all this is a terrible dependence on the drug, which you still need to find the strength to cope with. In this, the main character will be helped by devoted trainee cadets and beloved Rita Shagrai.
