In the article we will talk about the actors of the play "These Free Butterflies". Not everyone has seen this great show, but everyone should have at least some idea of it. A wonderful production, talented actors and the high skill of everyone who invested in the creation of this performance will allow you to feel the wonderful atmosphere of high art.
Storyline
The story tells about a young man who decides to live separately in order to prove to himself and the world around him that he is independent. The guy's name is Donald. In the neighborhood lives a young girl named Jill, who got married early, and already 6 days after the wedding she ran away from her new husband. She also wanted to prove to everyone around her that she was capable of living alone. The girl easily finds a common language with the guy. After a while, she begs to visit him and starts a nice conversation. However, almost immediately it turns out that Donald has one unpleasant feature - he is blind. Despite this, Jill is amazed at howthe guy is cheerful, cheerful and open. Almost always he jokes and laughs. They often talk in the evenings, and soon fall in love with each other. Jill sees in him a deep person who is able to adequately perceive the world.
About the characters
Let's talk a little about the characters of our main characters. Reviews of the performance "These Free Butterflies" are radically different. There are people who are delighted, but there are those who did not like the performance at all or they did not understand its idea. However, there are no indifferent people who, after watching the performance, have no emotions left. The actors of "These Free Butterflies" perfectly conveyed the characters described by the author. So let's get to know them better.
Donald is a philosopher. He talks a lot, but he doesn't push. He laughs, enjoys life and a new day. At the same time, he believes that in fact the blind person is the one who refuses to see problems and troubles in life, and not the one who is blind for physiological reasons. And this is true, because many people literally hide from problems, preferring to live with them all their lives than to think carefully and solve them once.
Jill
She's not a philosopher like Don, but she's alive and real, that's what captivates her. The principles and views of the couple are the same. The girl is very talkative and frivolous, easily makes contact. She dreamed of becoming an actress all her life. Jill was well aware that this was not so easy to achieve, so she was ready forany way. She strives for success and luxury, because she has quite strong ambitions that make her move forward. The name of the performance echoes the character of the main character, because the sweet girl is very reminiscent of a free butterfly that flutters from flower to flower, and thinks only of herself. She is concentrated in her desires and aspirations, and other people's interests, problems and empathy do not bother her at all. At the same time, she will not bring evil or problems to someone on purpose, most likely she simply will not notice someone else's grief. In conversation, Jill admits to Donald that she has never truly loved anyone. You can see that in her heart she is afraid of this feeling, because she believes that in the end someone will be hurt. She does not want to think about that wonderful feeling that two people in love are experiencing. Her inner gaze is focused only on the dark sides. A funny plot element is Jill's huge appetite, which is present in many scenes and defuses them a bit.
Mother
We have already considered the beginning of the plot of "These Free Butterflies". We also paid attention to the main characters, and now let's focus on the secondary participants in the performance. Special attention deserves the mother of Donald, whose name is Mrs. Baker. She is a writer. The son sees her as a strong woman who pulls a huge burden. Donald says that after the death of his father, his mother began to embody both his father, and doctors, and the police, and school, and so on. That is why he decided to live separately, because control from the outsidemother was simply unthinkable. At the same time, Baker feels guilty and tries in every possible way to protect his supposedly young son from the cruel reality of the world. In principle, she can be understood, since she, like any mother, just wants to protect her own son from trouble. However, it is important to understand the fine line here and not cross it in order to maintain warm feelings between loved ones. The mother sees her son as a small, helpless boy who is incapable of anything himself. That is her main problem. Yes, he left her because she felt like a hamster kept in a cage and never let out.
Continuation of the plot
Many reviews about the play "These Free Butterflies" refer to the heroine's mother. After all, as it turns out later, she is somewhat right. As time went on, Donald and Jill became quite close. Once he invited her to dinner, and she told him that she was moving to the first producer who came across, who offered her a role in a cheap play. And then he realizes that there was a grain of truth in his mother's words. He faces a difficult choice: to confront life on his own or to return to the warm embrace of his mother. But he is completely alone with his pain. He said that it was better to be physiologically blind, like him, than to be miserable. Jill leaves, but not to fly like a butterfly into a new life, but to return. Perhaps she herself does not realize it yet, but she has already fallen in love with a sincere and kind guy with a pure heart, who won his place in herheart.
Actors
Valery Garkalin in the performance to play an important role. In principle, we can say that only 4 main actors are involved here. This is Mrs. Baker, Jill, Donald and Ralph Austin. Recall that Valery Garkalin is a People's Artist of Russia. His role is episodic. He appears on stage a few minutes before the end of the performance. However, his intervention is so soft and appropriate that it fits perfectly into the whole picture.
It is also worth noting Pavel Konka, who played the role of Donald. The reviews, which we will talk about further, are largely related to this particular actor. Pavel Konek played in the Gomel Drama Theater from a young age. Behind him are many interesting talented works.
Taisiya Vvedenskaya played the role of Jill. She perfectly reincarnated as a young frivolous girl who herself does not know what she wants from life. She assures everyone that she has high ideals and dreams, but in reality, she has a cold heart. At the same time, she is not hopeless, because a blind and kind guy was able to melt it.
Also in the play "These Free Butterflies" Anna Bolshova played a significant role. She did not play the main role, but her presence in the play gave it a special touch. We can say that the roles of V. Garkalin and A. Bolshova, although episodic, are very bright.
Sergey Tereshchuk
The production was directed by Sergei Tereshchuk. He was born in the winter of 1968 in the Ukrainian city of Chernivtsi. Studied at the Azerbaijan State University of Arts. Later graduateddirecting department in St. Petersburg at the State Academy of Theater Arts. Since 2007, he began to try himself as an actor, but at the same time he did not forget about directing. Among his works it is worth noting the following: "According to Marshak's Tales", "Glitches", "Cynics", "Blue Puppy", "Remembering No Evil".
Directorial talent
Many people note the excellent work of the director, and also say that he is a talented actor himself. Also, some are wondering why Sergei did not take part as an actor in this performance, because the role of Donald, he could be very suitable. However, Sergey Tereshchuk shares his directing acting activities, and believes that these are two different professions that should not be combined. Critics and the public reacted positively to this work by Tereshchuk. Many noted that the production was very lively and real, as if the man had experienced this story himself. The director of "These Free Butterflies" showed that a real performance can be created not only by a well-trained professional, but also by those who feel subtly and vividly, and can convey this feeling to the viewer.
Positive feedback
As for the positive feedback about the play "These Free Butterflies", many say that the story is very thought out to the very details. This is what captivates the viewer, because such a captious and attentive attitude to work immediately catches the eye. Thanks to this, an absolute canvas of history is formed, which makes it possible not only to observe, but to penetrate and live everything together withheroes. Also, the audience notices that the performance is very modern. It seems to be an ordinary story, but it is shown in a modern way. No one will deny that in the modern world this happens, albeit not often, but in this context.
Before the show, many said that it would be a provincial performance, but these people were mistaken. Even viewers from Moscow and other large cities note that the performance was unusual and amazing, it plunged them into a completely different atmosphere that they had not felt before. Moreover, many people say that they would like to visit theaters again to see the performance with the whole family. Despite the fact that the story seems to be youthful, it still tells about family values, about how important it is to find a loved one and even more important not to lose him. It was also noted that this story makes it possible to laugh, cry, and even think. It is impossible not to note the game of actors, because all the audience noticed that they are quite young. At the same time, the vast majority of viewers note that the actors did an excellent job with their task and showed real emotions, which is rare in many theaters.
Negative feedback about the play "These Free Butterflies"
Many do not like that the deep meaning of the production is hidden under a superficial plot. Yes, people agree that the idea is really good, but they are repelled by a too hackneyed and simple story. Some did not like the performance of certain actors, but this is a very subjective opinion, becauseeach person imagines a certain picture in his own way. Not everyone liked the performance. Some felt the costumes and décor were a little out of place. Although everyone admitted that the costumes were beautiful, neat and consistent with the image. But some of the audience did not like this whole tinsel. However, there are few of them.
Also, people think that this is not the most amazing performance, but it is worth seeing it at least once. A very large number of people spoke negatively about the very atmosphere in the theater, because it is not always possible to choose your neighbor in the hall. That is why we have to put up with arrogant, talkative and too active spectators who do not allow the rest to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the theatrical sacrament and fully feel what is happening on the stage.
Comedian Shelter
It is worth noting the production of the play "These Free Butterflies" at the Shelter of Comedians. Here the roles were played by other actors, but this production collected approximately the same number of positive reviews. Perhaps, in order to better understand and feel this story, you need to look at just two options.
