Alexandra Strelchenko was born in the Dnepropetrovsk region at Chaplino station. Her father's name was Ilya Strelchenko, and her mother was Polina Pavlovna. So, the girl managed to complete a one-year internship at the All-Russian Workshop of Variety Art. In 1971, the performer for the radio recording of the folk composition "Bela Zorenka" at the International Competition in Bratislava received the second prize and the silver medal "Silver Ear".

In the mid-90s, Alexandra Strelchenko and her second husband had an accident. After that, she began to have problems with the hip joint and spine.
