Alexandra Strelchenko was born in the Dnepropetrovsk region at Chaplino station. Her father's name was Ilya Strelchenko, and her mother was Polina Pavlovna. In total, Alexandra Strelchenko's parents had three children. Valentina, the older sister, was taken in by her aunt. Alexandra was left an orphan at the age of 8.

She and her younger brother Anatoly were sent to an orphanage for upbringing. The father of the future performer died at the front, and her mother also died at the end of the war. After graduating from school, Alexandra worked as a nanny. Then she was educated at the Leningrad Pedagogical Institute at the correspondence department.

Disease

In the mid-90s, Alexandra Strelchenko and her second husband had an accident. After that, she began to have problems with the hip joint and spine. Each step was given to the performer at the cost of severe pain. After the scandal associated with the apartment, Alexandra Strelchenko ended up with a stroke in a hospital bed.
