Davis knew how to play drums at the age of five. Throughout his life he developed these skills. For the Korn project, Jonathan often sat down to install. For example, the drums for the song Dirty were recorded in the studio by Davis.

Today, the list of instruments owned by Davis is impressive: bass, bagpipes, drums, andalso guitar, harp, piano and violin. The musician learned to play most of them at school.

All of Davis' work sounds painful enough: strange lyrics, dissonant chords. And it's not even that Jonathan was on drugs before, and then on benzodiazepines. Already being famous, Davis admitted that he was sexually abused by adults as a child. His father did not comment on such statements. And the song Daddy, in which the lead singer of Korn pours out his feelings about this, has very incomprehensible and confused lyrics, so it's hard to draw any conclusions.

Beginning of professional career

Jonathan Davis adored Duran Duran and The Cure in his youth. Until the age of 23, Davis performed with the group Sexart. It was during one of these performances that the vocalist was noticed by members of the future Korn group, which in the 90s was called L. A. P. D.

Whether that was true or not is irrelevant, because Davis did become a member of Korn in 1993 and remains so to this day.

It was hard to predict that the Korn project with their strange music would be an innovator and founder of the nu metal genre. Their self- titled first album went platinum shortly after its release. And each of the subsequent albums eventually became platinum. Members of a previously unknown group every yearovergrown with new connections in show business. Today it is difficult to find a prestigious rock project that would not collaborate with the musicians of the Korn group. Here is just a small list of Jonathan Davis' stellar collaborations: Limp Bizkit, Evanescence, Coal Chamber, Linkin Park, The Cure, Deftones and many more.

The album The Path of Totality, released in 2011, was special in every respect: the band mixed heavy metal with dubstep for the first time in the history of music. In the last album, The Paradigm Shift Korn did not experiment with dubstep, returned to a heavy sound, but used a huge amount of electronic synthesizers.
