Short biography
Writer Sergei Mikhailovich Belousov was born in 1950 in the city of Novosibirsk. Even at the age of 5-6, the boy decided that he would become a writer. He learned to read early and it became his favorite pastime.
But fate had its own way. The realities of that time required a profession, and it was impossible to earn a living by writing. Therefore, Sergey graduated from the Electrotechnical Institute in his hometown and worked at large enterprises - he was engaged in the creation of automatic control systems.
Belousov is married and has two daughters. Elizabeth lives in Israel with her husband and son Alexander. She works as a translator. The youngest, Alena, is a manager-economist in a large Moscow company. She and her husband are raising their son Andrei.
How it all began
After working at the plant, Sergei Mikhailovich Belousov decided to try himself as a journalist. For several years he covered various issues in the editorial offices of Novosibirsk.
In 1986, he decided to start writing a book. Initially, it was conceived for an adult audience and had a detective focus. But the writer's daughters changed everything - at that time they were children. It was their actions, characters and various situations that prompted Belousov to create a children's book.
The prototype of the protagonist of the book, and then of the whole series, was a friend of his daughters - Lyonka. The girls themselves were also written into the main storyline. It was they who helped dad write these wonderful works. So, in 1992, the first book of the series "Along the Rainbow, or Pechenyushkin's Adventures" appeared.
Then the second came out - "Death Pot". The third book appeared in 1996. It was called "Heart of the Dragon".
In the 2000s, Sergei Mikhailovich Belousov started writing books on culinary topics.
Creativity continues
Recently it became known that the writer began work on the final book about the adventures of children - "City of Colored Shadows".
Sergei Mikhailovich Belousov plans to end the story about his favorite characters with this. According to the author's idea, Pechenyushkin and friends have already grown up, but the situations described in the new book will be of interest to children and their parents. After all, many of them grew up on theseworks.
