Biography

German Sorin was born on February 25, 1970 in Sokolniki. He comes from a fairly we althy family: his mother is a leading engineer in a construction company, and his father is a military man. In 1973, the family moved to Biryulyovo, where the formation of the future artist took place. Herman combined a regular school with a music school, studied accordion and went in for sports: boxing, football and hockey, and also tried his hand at cycling and speed skating. True, the boy was expelled from the music school in the sixth grade, he missed many classes due to competitions. The expulsion did not prevent him from making music, and at the age of 14 Herman mastered playing the guitar.

After graduation, the parents wanted to send their son to a military school, but he did not agree and joined the army, served in Germany in the airborne troops. Upon his return, he entered the Gnessinschool for the third year. Since that time, the creative career of Hera Grach began.

Music

During his studies at Gnesinka, German participated in many song contests, thanks to which he was noticed and invited as a backing vocalist to the Doctor Schlager group. Working in this team allowed him to gain experience in live performances, and soon the young man decided to create his own project, organized the Playboy pop group with his friends. As Gera Grach himself admits, they sang mainly to the phonogram, which did not prevent them from successfully touring Russia.

Then Herman realized that he no longer wanted to be a pop singer and came to the chanson genre. In 1997, he signed a contract with Alexander Kalyanov to record his first solo album. At the same time, he took a pseudonym by the nickname that he was called in childhood in the yard - Gera Grach.

Albums

The debut disc "My Godfather" was released in 1998. After that, the singer began to cooperate with the Soyuz Production company, and in 2000 the second album, The Beast, appeared. Actually, thanks to him, Hera Grach gained popularity. The album includes such well-known songs as "Dog Fights", "Dwarf Misha". A year later, also under the leadership of the "Union", the disc "Will" was released.

All the songs of Hera Grach were played on the radio and in audio collections, concerts began. Moreover, the singer performed not only at pop venues, but also in camps. Then the performer decided to leave the Soyuz Production company and release a new album on his own. So in 2002the collection "Zhigan" appeared, but it turned out not very successful.

From 2003 to 2006, the singer released 8 more albums, and then there was a period of calm. The new disc "Poison" appeared only in 2012, it was performed in a new style, at the junction of rock and chanson, and the performer himself began to position himself not as Hera Grach, but as Herman Grach. Under this name, the artist performs to this day.

In 2014, the album "I'm Young" was released. According to the chansonnier himself, all the songs from it were recorded back in the late nineties and early 2000s, but were not published for various reasons, and now it's time to collect them in one disc. The album has not been officially released, it can be downloaded from the Internet or received at a concert.

Currently German Grach is successfully touring with the programs "I'm young" and "Wings". As for his personal life, it is known that he is married and has a daughter.
