Biography
The biography of Lucky Kesoglu is closely connected with Batumi, since it was in this city that the future singer was born. The performer was trained in classical vocals, as a tenor. I got into Orlenin's class. There were five opera parts in his repertoire. At the same time, in 1964, Lucky joined the variety and symphony orchestra of the Kazakh radio and television. There he began to perform pop songs. In 1970, he became a diploma winner of the IV All-Union Variety Artists Competition, which was held in Moscow.
In 1972, the performer performed for the first time on the stage of the Hall of Columns. Thanks to this, he gained all-Union fame. His song was especially successful."Bouzouki". In the film "Old Walls" by V. Tregubovich, which was released in 1973, he performed the tango song "Waves" with tact and feeling, which became famous in the USSR.
The composer was G. Portnov, the cameraman E. Rozovsky played the role of a singer on the dance floor of the sanatorium. Kesoglu is a permanent participant of numerous festivals taking place in Kazakhstan. For a quarter of a century of collaboration with the musicians of the Kazakh State Radio and Television Orchestra, the musician has made more than 400 recordings.
About two million of his records were released at the Melodiya company, this is a record for Kazakhstan. Since 2000 he has been teaching. Lucky is a professor. He is the head of the pop department at the Kazakh Academy of Arts named after Zhurgenov.
