The theater for children and youth (Kemerovo) is still very young. He was born just over 20 years ago. His repertoire includes fairy tales, classical works and plays by contemporary playwrights.

About the theater

In the city of Kemerovo, the Theater of Children and Youth appeared in 1991. It was a difficult period. It took great enthusiasm and fanaticism to create a troupe in such a difficult time. The founders of the theater were Tatiana and Sergei Vnukov. The opening of the Youth Theater in the city was their old dream.

At first, a studio for children was organized at the actor's house. Young talents who dreamed of becoming artists were the basis of the troupe created by the Vnukovs. In the studio, they were taught stage movement, speech, dance, and vocals. In addition, they played roles in plays.

After a year of its work, the theater for children and youth (Kemerovo) received its first premises. It was located in a residential building on Spring Street, on the first floor.

At first, young artists played only performances for children. But over time, the repertoire included such performances as "Family Portrait with a Stranger", "Squaring the Circle", "Twelfth Night" and others.

The theater began to tour, takeparticipation in various festivals.

At the beginning of the 2000s, the troupe received its own building, which is still located today. It is located on Arch Street. Before the troupe moved into the new premises, it was reconstructed. Modern equipment was installed.

In the summer of 2008, the theater itself became the organizer of its own festival. The name was given to him "Siberian cat". It was held among children of school age.

Today the director of the theater is Grigory Lvovich Zabavin. He is also one of the leading actors of the troupe. The position of chief director is occupied by Irina Nikolaevna Latynnikova. The troupe employs young actors - graduates of creative universities and colleges.
