Biography

Felix Tsarikati was born in the current capital of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, Nalchik, on September 13, 1964. The mother and father of the future artist had nothing to do with music, they were simple workers. The grandparents of the performer had great musical talent. Grandmother was a soloist of an ensemble called "Kabardinka", she played the balalaika, guitar and accordion.

The boy was brought upin the atmosphere of music, and this kind of art carried him away. The young man liked musical instruments much more than school. Little Felix Tsarikati was incredibly carried away by the songs of Muslim Magomayev, so at the age of seven he decided to test his own musical talent. Even earlier, the boy taught himself how to play the accordion.

While studying at school, the young man participated in amateur performances and won prizes in creative competitions. By that time, Felix managed to master playing the guitar and accordion, so he performed accompanied by these musical instruments. In addition, the mother assigned the boy to the children's choir. Tsarikati is an Ossetian, he spent his youth in the village of Ozrek.

Mostly Ossetians live here, although Ozrek is located on Kabardian territory. The performer calls childhood the happiest time in life - with friends, a lake and nature of unearthly beauty.

After graduating from the ninth grade, a fifteen-year-old boy who already dreamed of a stage went to North Ossetia to continue his musical education, and ended up in the current city of Vladikavkaz.

In 1983 he was trained in the vocal department at the School of Arts. The next point in his biography was Moscow and admission to GITIS, he became a student, despite the competition of 120 applicants for a place.

Music

Felix Tsarikati in 1991 was trained at GITIS at the faculty of musical theater actors. Soon he became a participant in the Y alta-91 vocal competition,presented his debut album "Unlucky" and went on his first tour in Ossetia. Such success of the young man was promoted early by his participation in the competition "Jurmala".

He spoke at it while still a 4th year student. Then Felix Tsarikati failed to become a laureate, but many viewers paid attention to the mobile and charismatic performer with flowing vocals. Fame came to the performer after winning the Y alta-91 competition and receiving the audience award.
