The consequences of the first creative crisis

On the eve of the New Year in 1989, co-founder Butusov finally moved to what was then Leningrad. He recruited a new composition of the Nautilus Pompilius group, the photo of which is presented in the article.

The songs of "Nau" sounded in a new way. Previously, their music was filled with keyboard-saxophone sound. Now the new team has focused on a hard guitar melody. After hearing this, fans were skeptical about the change. Thus, the first performances in the new line-up experienced a failure.

However, subsequent albums - "Randomly" and "Alien Earth", proved the creative abilities of the new composition of "Nautilus Pompilius". The hits “Walking on the Water” and “On the Bank of the Nameless River” became popular at that time.

First anniversary and new losses

Boris Grebenshchikov took part in the recording, as well as Bill Nelson, an English musician and the last producer of the group. He contributed to the release of the collection "Atlantis", which included early songs of the "Nautilus", unknown to fans.
