In 1975, Vladimir Kostin suddenly disappeared from the cinema screens. Fans of his work wondered why the actor stopped acting at the peak of his popularity. In fact, the fate of the talent was predetermined by tragic circumstances that were hushed up in the Soviet Union.

The path to the goal

In the small military town of Kronshdtate on January 13, 1939, the future actor Vladimir Kostin was born. The biography of this man is complex and tragic. His father was a military musician, his mother was a housewife. Later the family moved to Leningrad. There they found the war. They spent all the years of the blockade in the city. The divorce of his parents became dramatic for the boy. Little Volodya was given to be raised by his grandmother.

Personal life did not develop. The first marriage, in which a son was born, broke up after five years of marriage.

At the end of his studies, he was accepted to Lenfilm, but there were no significant offers. He played episodic, albeit interesting, roles. Worked on dubbing. One February evening in 1975, the actor was returning from a friend. On the way home, the taxi driver took a companion - a policeman in civilian clothes. Later he asked him for double the fare. The policeman was indignant and took both of them to the station.

There, a preventive conversation was held with the men. The artist asked to go home to his pregnant wife, but this angered the policemen. He was severely beaten. Actor Vladimir Kostin died on the spot on February 1 at the age of 36.
