The Golden Eagle award is the national film award of Russia. The selection according to the nominations is carried out by the Expert Council. The award was established by the National Academy of Cinematographic Arts of Russia. It is awarded based on the voting results of the participants and correspondents of the academy.
About the award
The film award "Golden Eagle" was established in 2002, on March 4th. The figurine of the prize is made of special gilded bronze. At the ends of the enamel is the tricolor of the flag of Russia. The figurine is placed on a jasper pedestal. The author of this work is Viktor Mitroshin. This statuette was used until 2013. Since 2014, an updated statuette of the prize has been awarded. In 2016, the original design was returned to the award. The figure of an eagle was made of special gilded silver. A rare type of Italian marble was used for the base. In 2002, on June 26, at the XXIV Moscow International Film Festival, the official presentation of the Academy took place, as well as the first presentation of the award. The winners of the award were Bernardo Bertolucci, Michel Legrand, Tatyana Samoilova andAndrei Tarkovsky.

The Golden Eagle Award is given for a feature film, television series, directorial work, screenplay, film role. The statuette can be received by costume designers, sound engineers, stage directors. It is also awarded for an animated picture, mini-series, TV movie, film and television role, foreign tape.
2015 Work Award

The Golden Eagle Award was presented in 2015, on January 23rd. It was hosted by Yuri Stoyanov and Daria Zlatopolskaya. Sunstroke was named best film. Among the mini-series, the work "Demons" was noted. The best film was named "Yankovsky" by Arkady Kogan. Of the television series, they chose "The Thaw" by Valery Todorovsky. Andrey Zvyagintsev received the award. Elena Lyadova (actress) was awarded. Andrei Konchalovsky received an award for the screenplay. Victoria Isakova was awarded for the best role on TV. Vladislav Opelyants received an award for cinematography. Alexander Zbruev was awarded. Eduard Artemiev received the award for the film score. Evgeny Tsyganov was awarded for the best male role. Stanislav Govorukhin became the owner of an honorary prize. Ivan Tverdovsky received a special award - "For sincerity!".
