Eduard Martsevich is a native of the city of Tbilisi, he was born on December 29, 1936. He can be considered the successor of the acting dynasty, since his father taught at a theater studio in Baku, and his mother was a prompter. And then one day the theater went on tour to the Georgian capital, where Eduard Martsevich was born.

Years of study

Of course, Eduard already from his youthful years understood that he was destined for one path in life - the theater. He applied to several higher educational institutions at once, where acting skills were taught. In GITIS, he had to hear a disappointing verdict from the examiners: he has no talent for acting. However, in other universities, members of the admissions committee hadradically opposite point of view. So he was enrolled in the students of the Shchepkinsky school. Here, the eminent director Konstantin Zubov becomes his mentor. Together with him, the now famous Stanislav Lyubshin and Nelly Kornienko learned the basics of acting. In his personal life, Martsevich was a very happy person. His wife Lilia Osmanova worked as an employee of a banking institution. She bore him two sons: Cyril and Philip. He serves in the capital's drama theater "Modern" under the supervision of the People's Artist S. A. Vragova. Son Philip graduated from the Higher Theater School. M. S. Shchepkina in 2001. Since 2005, he has been playing on the stage of the Maly Theater.

In the last years of his life, the he alth of the actor left much to be desired. He was ill for a long time.
