It is impossible to get to their concerts, and at the same time they are still listed as "failed young musicians". In 1983, in between concerts, Tsoi managed to end up in a psychiatric hospital. True, he comes out of there with a “white ticket” in his hands. From now on, rock is the main business of life, not counting the girl Marianne, with whom they got married in 1985. In the autumn of the same year, their son Alexander was born. Less than five years left to live…

Tragedy

Since 1985, Viktor Tsoi's biography has entered a new, happy streak: a beloved woman, a child, the release of two albums at once - "Night" and "This is not love." In 1986, viewers see the new Viktor Tsoi - a film actor. True, after the first experiments, he admitted that he was not an actor and did not want to reincarnate, but he agreed to play film roles, only expressing his “I” in them. The first experience was the film “The End of Vacation”, then “Rock” (directed by Alexei Uchitel), and finally “Assa”, where he played himself in a short role, with the very song “We are waiting for changes.”

In 1987, the group recorded the album "Blood Type" and received the prize "For Creative Age" at the rock club festival. 1988 - two huge events at once - the release of Rashid Nugmanov's film "The Needle" with Viktor Tsoi in the title role and the album "A Star Called the Sun". 1989 - Film critics name him the best film actor of the year.

And now the fatal 1990 - concerts throughoutcountry, a trip to Japan, the last concert at the Luzhniki Stadium, the tour is scheduled for months ahead.

August 15 early in the morning on a not very busy highway near Riga, an accident occurred in which Viktor Tsoi died. He was barely 28 years old. “Tsoi is alive,” shouted graffiti on the walls of houses across the country. In Moscow, on the Arbat, these inscriptions have survived to this day. The singer is alive as long as his songs are listened to and remembered. The album released after the death of Viktor Tsoi had a telling name - "The Black Album".
