Elena Solovey is an actress born on February 24, 1947 in a military family, in the town of Neustrelitz, located in the Soviet zone of occupation of Germany. The population of the town is very small, just over 20 thousand people.
Her father - Yakov Abramovich - was a front-line officer, fought in the artillery. Participated in the Soviet-Finnish war, and then went through the entire Great Patriotic War. Slave of love
In 1975, Nikita Mikhalkov invited the actress to play the lead role in his drama Slavelove. The action takes place in 1918, at the height of the Civil War. The Bolsheviks are in Moscow. Meanwhile, in the south of the country, they are hurriedly trying to finish the melodrama about a calm pre-revolutionary life, in which Olga Voznesenskaya plays the main role. She is played by Yelena Nightingale - an actress, whose photo by that time was well known to all connoisseurs of Soviet cinema. This character is the prototype of the star of the domestic silent film Vera Kholodnaya.
The film crew tries to ignore the surrounding political reality, ignoring it as much as possible. Everyone dreams of emigrating to Paris. In addition to the operator Pototsky performed by Rodion Nakhapetov. He is the only one supporting the revolution, using film for underground filming of the atrocities of the Whites in order to conduct propaganda for the Bolsheviks.
The main character Voznesenskaya is literally carried in her arms. She does not understand anything about politics, she is fond of Pototsky, and at the same time his revolutionary cause. But it is not the political side that attracts her, but the romantic side. After all, this is a case for which you can go to jail or even die.

A few days in the life of I. I. Oblomov
In 1979, Nikita Mikhalkov shoots another of his famous films - an adaptation of Goncharov's novel "Oblomov" with Oleg Tabakov and YuriBogatyrev in the title role. The character of Olga Ilyinskaya goes to Elena Solovey.
The protagonist of the film, Ilya Obolomov, is a classic Russian landowner. He owns a small but quite profitable estate. He spends his life without caring about business. His day is devoted to sleep, idleness and food. His childhood friend Andrei Ivanovich Stolz, who, thanks to his German roots, is very active and practical, is trying to radically change this situation.
From time to time he manages to get Oblomov to leave the house and start leading a he althy lifestyle. On one of these social trips, Oblomov meets the Ilyinsky family. Among them is young Olga, for whom Ilya Ilyich has a feeling he has never known before.
Olga is also imbued with sympathy for Oblomov and, like Stolz, tries to pull him out of his usual circle. However, Oblomov is already mired in laziness and cannot change something radically in his life, even with a great desire. The ending is disappointing - he breaks up with Olga.
Fact
Another landmark film in Elena Solovey's career was Almantas Grikevičius' war drama Fact, released in 1980. For her role in this film, Elena was awarded a nomination for Best Actress at the Cannes International Film Festival. True, the award that year went to the Hungarian actress Jadwiga Jankowska-Cieślak for her role as Eva Zalanski in the drama Looking at Each Other by Karoly Makk, which tells about the anti-communist uprising in Hungary in 1956.
In the film "Fact" the action takes place during the years of the GreatPatriotic War on the territory of modern Lithuania. 1944 German punitive detachments destroy the village of Pirciupiai. Already in peacetime, the Soviet authorities are investigating war crimes committed by the German invaders together with Lithuanian accomplices who went over to the side of the invaders. They were mostly nationalists.
The film is based on real facts and documents that scrupulously recreate the events that preceded the destruction of the Lithuanian village. This is the murder of a forester by unknown people, the decision of Colonel Titel, who led the occupation, on a punitive operation.
