Emma Frost ("Marvel") is known to fans of comics about superheroes under the pseudonym of the White Queen. She has an extremely attractive appearance, which she often uses for personal, selfish purposes. And the girl’s wonderful superpowers put her on a par with such famous and strong characters as Charles Xavier and Jean Grey. After discovering the gift of telepathy, little Emma became one of the most insidious villains the X-Men have encountered. However, she later went over to the side of good, which is a very common story among superheroes.
Childhood
Emma Frost belongs to one of the oldest merchant families in Boston and all of America. The girl's parents, Winston and Hazel Frost, were especially strict in raising their children, whom they had four. Despite the fact that it was difficult to keep track of everyone, the stern father still found a reason to express his demands. Little Emma was completely inconspicuous, but classmates found many reasons to play a trick on her. Studying was difficult for her, for which she repeatedly received reprimands. The only support in this difficult time was the school teacher Jan Kendall, with whom in the future the youngthe telepath had an affair. It was during these years that she noticed that she was different from others. Annoying, unfamiliar voices that belonged to those around her began to be heard in her head. At first, this frightened the girl, but later she learned to use this gift for her own good.
Youth
There are 2 versions of how Emma Frost ("Marvel") grew up and developed in the future. The biography of a young girl in one of the cases continues in a specialized institution for the mentally ill, where her parents sent her after they learned about their daughter's unusual abilities and despaired of taking her to see psychiatrists and other doctors. There she got a loyal company, and eventually, with the help of the power of thought, she was able to escape. In the updated version, the mutant girl begins to actively use her telepathy at school, due to which her grades are rapidly improving. Thus, she manages to earn the respect of her father, who is happy to entrust her with the family business. However, Emma Frost makes her own plans for the future and decides to achieve everything on her own.
Hellfire
From the family budget, she takes a rather modest amount, which is necessary for new beginnings. Gradually, the girl begins to realize the full value of her gift and lights up with thoughts of achieving great goals. When Emma Frost (Marvel) was still at university, she met another possessor of telepathy, who teaches her to masterfully use her talent. Around the same time, she becomes a blonde, and the appearance is nowone of its main advantages and means of manipulation. The girl's career goes uphill, thanks to which she is noticed by Sebastian Shaw, who is one of the members of the Hellfire Club, and part-time mutant. So she joins this dubious club. Emma Frost ("Marvel") and Shaw seize power, and together they become the White Queen and the Black King.
X-Men
At the same time, the superheroine has her own students at the Massachusetts Academy, where gifted, that is, mutants, are trained along with ordinary teenagers. They became known as the Hellions, and it was the young Emma Frost ("Marvel") who became their leader and mentor. The X-Men first met her when they went looking for the kidnapped Jean Grey. That time they won, resulting in Emma's short-term coma. After that, the warring factions clashed several more times, but the most ambitious was the battle with Trevor Fitzroy, where everyone took part. By that time, the girl had left the Hellfire Club, but this did not save her from a long coma. Transferring her consciousness into the body of Bobby Drake, she learns that most of the Hellions died during the battle. This was a heavy blow, as a result of which she repented and decided to correct the mistakes of the past. She successfully restores her reputation and the honor of the fallen students by taking on the Phalanx alongside Banshee, Sabretooth, and Jubilee. After this good-naturedProfessor Xavier gives her a chance and puts her in charge of a group of rescued young mutants called Generation X. So, Emma Frost finally took the side of good and later even joined the X-Men team.
Telepathy
As already mentioned, Emma is a strong telepath and has trained since childhood, bringing her abilities to perfection. Her gift is almost as powerful as that of Charles Xavier himself, making her one of the few mutants who can use Cerebro. She can easily read minds, communicate with other people telepathically, and also erase any events from someone else's memory. The list of her talents does not end there, because you can influence the inner world of a person in a huge number of ways. In addition, she has a college education and natural talents that are also very conducive to achieving difficult goals.
Diamond body
Telepathy is not the only mutation that Emma Frost is subject to. "Marvel" gives its heroes a variety of abilities. And in gifted people, they do not always manifest themselves in childhood. Already at a mature age, the White Queen, under this name the heroine is known in the world, she received another gift. Thanks to a secondary mutation, Emma is able to turn her body into a solid diamond substance. It is almost impossible to hurt her, and her body weight is several times greater than the real one. Even if you damage some part of this shell, leaving this state and returning back, it againwill become whole. However, this ability has its downsides. First, Emma Frost loses her feelings and emotions, which means that she can accidentally hurt someone. Secondly, she is also unable to use the power of her primary mutation. In part, this is also a plus, since the girl's consciousness is also not amenable to someone else's telepathic influence.
Relationships with other characters
At first, after switching to the side of good, other mutants were suspicious and wary of the girl. However, later, having proved her loy alty more than once, she even managed to become the leader of the Xavier Institute. Almost immediately, she struck up a friendship with Scott Summers, who at the time was in a relationship with Jean Grey. After the death of the Phoenix, a new couple is instantly formed - Cyclops and Emma Frost (Marvel), which most mutants, especially Wolverine, do not approve of. However, later the dissatisfaction is eased when Emma takes over as head of the Institute and successfully copes with her duties.
To the movies
Fictional character Emma Frost has also appeared in the X-Men films in addition to comics. For the first time, she appeared on the screen in a solo film about Logan “X-Men. Start. Wolverine . True, there her role was completely insignificant. At the very end of the picture, the heroes free the captive mutants, among whom you can see a young girl with a diamond body. But in the 2011 film X-Men: First Class, Emma Frost appeared as one of the centralcharacters. There she became the right hand of the main villain of the picture, Sebastian Shaw. She skillfully manipulates other heroes and uses her beautiful body and telepathy for selfish purposes. She was very successfully embodied on the screen by actress January Jones. No new appearances in the cinema are planned yet, but perhaps in the future, viewers will see the excellent White Queen in cinemas more than once.
