A spectator whose profession is not related to cinema, after or before watching a film, the maximum that can be known is the names of the actors and a summary of the script. But one of the main creators of the film is the director. The person who determines the main idea of the work and directs the process of creation. The humor on which the films "Down House", "DMB", "Gene Beton" are based, runs a thin line separating the funny from the vulgar. This milestone was found by an extraordinary screenwriter, director and actor Roman Kachanov.
Heredity
In 1967, the first puppet cartoon "Mitten" was released on Soviet television screens and received nationwide recognition. Its creator was the director-animator Roman Kachanov. In the same year, the Kachanov family celebrates the birth of their son, as it will become known later, the same talented filmmaker as his father. The boy was also named Roman.
The young man's first career began in the eighth grade, when he decided to work as a postman. However, studies and early rises at half past four in the morning were difficult, and the announcement that the famousFantasy writer needs help writing scripts. This writer turned out to be Kir Bulychev. In one of the interviews, Roman Kachanov shared his memories that at that time the profession of a literary secretary was not prestigious, akin to a janitor or cleaner, or a respected postman. But the guy had already decided to connect his future with cinema, and the experience that he could get working as an assistant to a science fiction writer was necessary for him.
Self-education
Roman was a late child, so he grew and developed independently. The influence of the father in children's upbringing, of course, left its mark on the choice of the future profession of a guy. However, Roma understood that he should not be a multiplier, since there were no artistic skills. And he decided to cheat, how to continue his father's undertakings - to create films, but by writing scripts and implementing them on the set.
Earning some money from Kira Bulychev, the guy simultaneously begins to attend director's courses, where he not only studies with A. Mitt, E. Ryazanov and G. Danelia, but can also watch premieres of foreign films, which at that time were for the Soviet viewers were unavailable.
Roman Kachanov, as a teenager, loved to read. And not in pieces, but in whole collections of works. This was necessary for him to track the creativity of authors at different stages of their lives. For example, how F. M. Dostoevsky reflected his experiences from the first volume he wrote to the moment he went to prison, and so on.
Getting a speci alty
At the age of 17, having a certain amount of knowledge behind him indirecting, Roman entered VGIK at the faculty of screenwriting. His fellow students were R. Litvinova, T. Keosayan, F. Bondarchuk, I. Okhlobystin and many other professionals of modern Russian cinema. Friendship with famous people will continue in the life of the director, screenwriter and actor.
Kachanov started practicing writing scripts in his student years. His pseudonym for the cartoons he created is Roman Gubin, so that knowledgeable people do not confuse the novice author with his father. After graduating from VGIK, the young man ended up in the Ladya association at the Gorky film studio, from where he left a year later.
First works
The film "Don't ask me about anything" is the first film in which Roman Kachanov is a director and screenwriter. Together with Ivan Biryukov, they decided to make a film "about the physiological functions of a person," as critics have defined. The plot is based on such a story, when the main character, being in an interesting position, is trying to determine the father of her unborn child. She has two applicants for this role, although both a priori cannot have children.
The film was released in 1995, although filming ended in 1991. During this break, Roman's debut was the fairy tale film Ugly, shown in a Moscow cinema in 1994 and on a federal channel.
But a year before the release of the film "Freak" Kachanov buried his mother and father. Until 1997, he only shot music videos and commercials. In 1998, according to the script by I. Okhlobystin, he directed the comedyMaximilian.
Private life
Roman Kachanov, whose photo attracts the eyes of many fans, was not deprived of female attention in life. In 1998, he married actress Anna Buklovskaya.
The happy couple had two daughters: Polina and Alexandra. However, the couple broke up in 2003. The second wife was Angelina Chernova, also an actress by profession. But this is not the only coincidence; from the second marriage, Roman also has two daughters. One girl, the eldest, was named after her grandmother Gara, and the youngest was named Dina.

Movies that brought fame to Roman, awarded with diplomas, prizes and to this day are quoted in colloquial use - these are "DMB" and "Down House". The scripts for both films were written by I. Okhlobystin.

Until the moment of the oath, incredible adventures await them. In this film Kachanov Roman Romanovich played his first role.
