- Landscape.
- Story painting.
- Still life.
- Portrait.

The plots are taken from modern reality, but placed outside the political and ideological context. The author of the paintings expresses a personal emotional mood, without drawing attention to social problems.

The artist knows the circumstances of life and the characters' characters. Direct communication with the models helps Klapouch to show their human personality on the canvas.
Master attaches greatthe importance of the details of figurative works. Gestures and postures, clothes and background tell about the character and fate of the posing men and women.
Landscapes
Native expanses is one of Yuri Klapoukh's favorite subjects. The artist paints seascapes, forests and plains with winding paths, rocky streams. Views of villages and pastures tell of a serene life away from the cities.
The landscapes of Klapouha are filled with freshness and silence, which can only be disturbed by the singing of birds, the lowing of cows or the murmur of a forest spring. The paintings leave a feeling of light sadness, make one admire the quiet beauty of the depicted nature.
Still life
The charm of everyday life is the leading theme in Yury Klapoukh's subject painting. The artist demonstrates the lush beauty of garden flowers, the intricate contours of wild mushrooms and the delicate blush of domestic apples.
Everyday food in Klapoukh's paintings turns into an object for creative reflection. In the "Artist's Breakfast" still life, the glossy sheen and openwork edges of fried eggs evoke not only appetite in the viewer, but also aesthetic pleasure.
Story painting
In the genre works of Yuri Klapoukh scenes of rural life prevail. The artist paints villagers in moments of rest from household chores. The characters are surrounded by a free landscape and simple working equipment. A cloudless sky completes the picture of an idyllic life in harmony with nature.
2 genre entries - "Thirst" and "Serious Intentions" - brought Klapoukh awards in the competitionArt Renewal Center. Both canvases show moments from the daily life of the village old people. The details reveal the hidden psychologism of the scenes.
In "Thirst", an elderly woman sits near a dish of ripe peaches. The heroine touches the fruit, and the gesture of her hand betrays her indecision and the dumb question: try or refuse? A woman admires a ruddy fruit and does not dare to disturb the harmony achieved by nature.
In "Serious Intentions", a couple of old men talk while relaxing in the hayfield. A man shares his “grand” plans with his companion. The woman listens to him with a smile. The viewer can only guess what the "serious intentions" of the old man are and whether he will carry out his plan.
