"Scam": characters, actors, storylines

Skam ("Shame") is a Norwegian TV series dedicated to the problems of teenagers. In the center of the plot "Scam" - characters who for the first time know love, sex, betrayal and learn to appreciate friendship. All have terribly entertaining stories and bright personalities. The series consists of 4 seasons, each episode lasts approximately 30 minutes.

Highlights

The series began in 2015. Its main feature is that all the episodes of each season are dedicated to one person, and the rest of the Skam characters fade into the background. It is not surprising that the project has become mega-popular in Norway, because both children and adults are insanely interested in what modern high school students are doing, and it would be better to look at it without embellishment.

When it came to season 4, the creators immediately warned that it would be the last, which definitely upset a huge number of fans. Thus, the final episodes of Skam were released in April 2017.

Parallels

It's interesting that the series aroused interest not only among Norwegians, but also among residents of other countries, who themselves are famous for such screen creations. In Britain, it's "Skins" - a series about real English jerks with scenes of sex, drug use,tough parties and heartbreaking moments.

In the US, the choice is wider - you can learn a lot about the culture of American minors from "OS: The Lonely Hearts", "Gossip Girl", "Young Americans". Here we can rank, perhaps, the "School" of Valeria Gai Germanika, which caused a serious resonance in Russian society.

Characters

The head of the first season is such a character "Scam" as the girl Eva. Everything is very difficult for her in her personal life. She meets with Jonas, whom she eventually convicts of infidelity. In this regard, incredible love geometric shapes are twisted in the company of Eva and her friends. All this gives rise to a lot of feelings, emotions and interesting situations in teenagers. The second season is based on the life of Noora, who has a very strange relationship with William.

In an attempt to understand herself and her feelings, the girl experiences really terrible things. Well, without parties, dubious dates and problems with the law will not do here. The third season was mastered by almost the most controversial character from the "Scam" list. Isak wants to put an end to his sexual self-determination and builds a relationship with a guy suffering from a serious illness. The main character of "Scam" in the fourth season, Sana, is also trying to find love, while throwing parties and making money deals.

Actors

A total of about 10 Skam characters are at the center of the story. Since the actors did not shine in famous Hollywood films, moreover, they starred only in Norwegian projects, it is impossible to find anything exciting in their filmography. It is noteworthy that the creators did not particularly deceive with the age of the characters and actors of "Scam", most of them were not even 20 years old at the time of the start of filming. These are not American comedies, where almost thirty-year-old people are passed off as schoolchildren - everything here is natural and honest.

Positive feedback

The Skam series has a very decent performance in terms of rating: more than 8 points both on IMDb and on KinoPoisk. Most of those who watched highly appreciated this peculiar Norwegian project "not for everyone". The authors of positive reviews note that the creators of the project did not make stereotypical teenagers out of their heroes, whose characteristic qualities were elevated to an absurd absolute. They are ordinary, normal, they are what you want to believe.

It helps not only to feel their fates, but also to live with them in the same frame. Manypay tribute to aesthetics, praising well-chosen modern music, a beautiful picture and cool outfits. They often admire a good message, because covering the problems of teenagers is a good thing. And all this despite the hackneyedness of this topic. Indeed, in this case, the implementation did not let us down.

Negative and neutral opinions

The authors of negative reviews are scolding with might and main a certain fading of characters in which they do not see bright and independent personalities. They do not want to be interested in their future fate, or even empathize with them in difficult situations. Whether this is due to not very professional acting, or because of the ill-conceived features of the main characters. Often noted are "zakosy" for other series, which everyone has seen and discussed hundreds of times. They cite as an example the very same "Milks", in which, according to the "minus" ones, the topic is revealed much deeper.

Representatives of neutrality are saddened by the fact that the series is gorgeous on the screen, but, alas, something is missing in terms of content to an exciting teenage drama that makes you hold your fists for your favorite heroes. There is also an opinion that the project is purely girlish, and may only be attractive to fans of beautiful Norwegian boys, vanilla dialogues and far-fetched love stories.
